Can I use Spyder5 for hardware calibration on this monitor?
Asked by: Raido
I'm afraid not. For color critical works, please look at our photographer series monitors: SW240(24") , SW2700PT(27" QHD), SW271(27" 4K ) or SW320 (32" 4K)

question

Hi, I'm debating on a 144hz, 1080p, 27 inch monitor and this.. Major difference other than the pixels is that the other is a VA panel. May someone tell me how the blacks and other colors are like on this monitor? Are they good? Barely passing? Bad? Please do tell.
Asked by: Justin
Hey Justin, if you plan on doing any type of PC gaming, I would suggest not to purchase the GW2765HT as a gaming monitor. You'll be much more satisfied with the higher refresh rate panel for your games. As this GW2765HT has an IPS panel, which would give you excellent color. It just depends on your use for the monitor, as these units vary vastly from a 144hz TN style gaming monitor. question

RE: BenQ GW2765HT...would this monitor be too basic for photo editing?
Asked by: Joseph
Hey Joseph, while this GW2765HT is a fantastic monitor, I would suggest to look at the SW2700PT series, as this was made for color management and photo-editing. The main difference is that the GW2765HT is unable to preform a hardware calibration, whereas the SW2700PT allows the hardware calibration via a compatible colormeter to create a custom ICC profile for your monitor. You can get close with the GW2765HT and a colormeter (Datacolor Sypder 4/5) using their software to create a synthetic ICC profile, (GPU manipulated) but the colors won't be as accurate as the SW2700PT Hope this helps!Sean.
