A compact wide-angle prime with intuitive handling and an advanced optical design, the black M.Zuiko Digital ED 12mm f/2 from Olympus is a 24mm equivalent lens for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras. The wide focal length pairs with the bright f/2 maximum aperture to benefit available light shooting as well as astrophotography applications. The lens's optical design makes use of one aspherical element, one DSA (Double Super Aspherical) element, and a Super HR (high refractive index) element to reduce spherical aberrations and control distortion for notable sharpness, and one extra-low dispersion element reduces color fringing for high clarity and color accuracy. Additionally, the lens is characterized by its Movie & Still Compatible autofocus system for quick and quiet performance, as well as a manual focus clutch and Snapshot Focus mode for intuitive control over focus position and depth of field.

Wide-angle prime lens is designed for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras and offers a 24mm equivalent focal length.
Bright f/2 maximum aperture benefits working in low-light conditions.
Aspherical, DSA, and Super HR elements combine to control distortion and spherical aberrations for improved sharpness and resolution.
One extra-low dispersion element minimizes chromatic aberration and color fringing for greater clarity and color fidelity.
Movie & Still Compatible (MSC) autofocus system benefits both photo and video applications due to its smooth, quiet, and fast performance.
Manual focus clutch lets you quickly pull the focusing ring into place for direct, intuitive focus control. This also reveals the Snapshot Focus mode, which incorporates a depth of field scale for working with hyperfocal focusing and zone focusing techniques.
Rounded seven-blade diaphragm produces a smooth bokeh quality.

Would that lens be compatible with the Fuji x100F ?
Asked by: Joana
We're afraid not. The FUJIFILM X100F is a Point and Shoot Camera with a built in lens. This is for a camera with an MFT mount. FUJIFILM does offer the WCL-X100 II Wide Conversion Lens (Silver) which you could consider instead, B&H # FUWCLX100IIS. https://bhpho.to/2IzInVE

question

Does this need a balancing ring to work with the DJI Osmo Pro X5?
Asked by: Anonymous
Hi, I own an x5 on my Inspire and Im pretty sure it does require one. I tend to not use one on my smaller 14-42 Olympus zoom. Best way to find out (besides someone answering that actually has a definitive answer) would be to check the weight of the lens and see how close it is to our factory 15mm pano/Leica knock off that came with the x5. The good thing is they are usually only $9-12 through DJI or B&H.

question

Does this lens have manual override (=full time manual focus)?
Asked by: lan
Yes. If you pull out the front part of the lens you get a traditional scale showing distance and coverage at various apertures. When you do this on an Olympus Pen-F, the camera automatically activates manual focus (when you retract the front part, it goes back to autofocus). Result: it is easy to call up manual focus and the lens let you see what will be in focus when you zone focus.
