Infrastructure Design Suite Standard 2015 is a collection of AutoCAD products from Autodesk optimized for civil infrastructure development projects. Use AutoCAD for drafting and design work, AutoCAD 3D Map to work with 3D Building Information Models (BIMs), Storm and Sanitary Analysis for sewage and storm drain specific tasks, AutoCAD Raster Design to convert raster images into DWG, Navisworks Simulate for construction simulation and projection analysis, and ReCap for 3D scanning and motion capture. This copy of the software is a perpetual, single-user, download license. It can be partially installed on 32-bit versions of Windows; however full installations requires 64-bit support.

5D Project Scheduling
Simulate construction schedules and logistics in 5D to help visually communicate and analyze activities and minimize delays and sequencing problems
  • Evaluate building or demolition viability by developing construction or demolition sequences that link model geometry to times and dates
  • Import times, dates, costs, and other task data from project management software to dynamically link schedules with project models

If interferences are identified, the link back to the dynamic 3D model within AutoCAD Civil 3D software civil engineering software enables engineers to more quickly update designs and related documentation. Use enhanced 3D models to help sequence infrastructure construction activities and guide construction equipment when it is time to break ground. Construction Cost Optimization
Save more time and materials by using the model to compute earthwork volumes, perform quantity takeoffs, and deliver high-quality models to contractors. The quantification features in Navisworks enable you to:
  • Bring quantities from an aggregated model into a project
  • Get quantities from model properties
  • Tie quantification data to model objects without properties
  • Create quantity placeholders for non-modeled items

Go from high-level detailed models, to virtually no details and still enable more accurate quantity takeoff to help support the entire project team from design to field execution. The quantification features of Navisworks software support the model quantification process by using Item and Resource catalogs. These catalogs enable the creation, classification, and management of objects and their properties for detailed quantity takeoff

Both items and resources can use formulas to add detailed quantities that incorporate model properties, manual calculations, or virtual quantities for things that are not modeled. The quantification capabilities are available in Navisworks Manage and Navisworks Simulate software
