question

Will the Nissin i40 do TTL when mounted on an x100 or x100s? I understand you can do off camera TTL on some fuji cameras by using a Canon sync cord. Would it also work with a Nikon sync cord?

How to update firmware Nissin i40 Compact Flash ...

How to update firmware Nissin i40 Compact Flash for Fujifilm X-T2?
Asked by: James
For a firmware update on the i40 you would need to send to the USA distributor if you are I the USA However, If you have the latest version of firmware in you Fuji XT-2 then there may be no reason for a firmware update. If you are looking to obtain HSS with the Nissin i40, then that has been incorporated into the Fujifilm Camera Firmware. Chances are you do not need a firmware update at this time on the flash itself. Hope this helps.

question

What is the construction material of this item? I've been looking at the EF42 and it seems a bit flimsy.
Asked by: Anonymous
The Nissin i40 like almost all speedlights are made of some type of plastic polycarbonate. The shoe is metal, which is a very good construction point. As flashes go the Nissin i40 is well made.

question

I'm a total beginner with regard to flash use. I bought the i40 for my Fujifilm xe-2s. Want to use it at an event tomorrow but can't get it to fire consistently. Would like to have my xe-2s at aperture priority. In the camera's flash mode, I chose commander. That worked for a few shots but now it doesn't. I would be okay using all automatic if necessary. How do I get the flash to fire with my xe-2s?
Asked by: Barbara
If you are using the flash on the camera and no other flash off camera you do not set it to Commander and set it to TTL.You can set your camera to aperture priority. Personally I set the flash to TTL and the camera to manual. But either setting should work fine.If you still have issues with the flash it is best you come into chat or give us a call.Make sure you have your order number.
