The Heritage R-12R Reverberocket from Ampeg is a tube combo amplifier designed for electric guitars. Housing a total of seven tubes and one tone knob, the amp plows further into "vintage" territory when you flip a switch on the front panel, thereby downshifting from 30 to 15 watts. Whether the unit operates in triode (15W) or tetrode (30W) mode, all signal feeds into the 12" Celestion Alnico Gold speaker—though the option of extending the amplifier's sound to an external speaker is provided through a 1/4" output jack.
The assemblage and material of the Reverberocket's parts are also significant: its chrome-plated chassis, dove-tail construction, black-diamond Tolex, and vintage grille cloth render this Baltic birch and poplar item a faithful recreation of the original unit.
Featuring tremolo, echo, and tone controls, the R-12R Reverberocket ships with an external footswitch for easy instantiation of its onboard analog effects.
