The Play Acoustic from TC-Helicon is a vocal and acoustic guitar effect processor pedal that features dedicated presets geared towards the modern singer-songwriter. The pedal allows you to connect your mic and your guitar at once, and is designed to offer a useful combination of tools for live acoustic performance such as multi-FX, pitch correction, and feedback control.

The Play Acoustic offers high-quality vocal effects that can be used in a live or practice setting. These effects include tone controls, vocal harmony, HardTune, reverb, double, delay, μMod, and more. On the guitar side, the unit comes with effect styles from TC Electronic's popular Reverb and Corona Chorus pedals. It features BodyRez EQ and compression styles optimized for under-saddle piezo pickup acoustic guitars, and also has a narrow notch filter that can be kicked in to tame acoustic guitar feedback.

Play Acoustic - Vocal and Acoustic Guitar Effect Processor Pedal is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Product I have been practicing for Gigs for a few weeks now and I am amazed about the quality of the automatic harmonies. This is a top product for me. I do have one small issue with it that I have not spent time troubleshooting and so it could be related to my specific setting but if I the unit is cabled to the PA system but is not powered up, when I turn the PA on, I get a sustained feedback from the unit. Powering the unit completely eliminates this issue. I am not sure what causes this but I suspect the room mics in the box that are used for sensing the Key from room noise provide the feedback when the unit is not powered. Probably an internal closed cross-point switch issue. TBC.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Meets Expectations So Far Just received this pedal and have used it briefly - it's easy to set up and use. Bought it for our worship band, since we lack backup singers - was expecting some level of synthetic sound on the vocal harmonies, have been astonished at how good it sounds, it's hard to tell it's digitally processed. Harmonies work well when you are playing or lightly picking (the processor picks up the chord patterns) but harmonies go crazy when you stop playing and just use vocals, but that's to be expected.
