    Sony MDR1ADAC Reviews

MDR-1ADAC Headphones with Built-In DAC (Black) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Audiophiles Dream! I'm not an expert who has used all the great headsets. But what I can tell you is these are the BEST SOUNDING headphones I have ever used period. A few of the headsets I have used include Beats Studio, Audio-Technica ATH-M50, Sony MDR-1RBT and MDR-1ABT. My listening environment usually consists of an iPhone 6S Plus and Korg iAudioGate Music Player for the Hi-Res stuff or Apple Music app for everything else. I'm using the supplied lightning cable for pure digital output @44.1 or 48 kHz (the current limit for iPhone hardware). I've tried DSD, ALAC, and FLAC files. They all sound so rich and clear at ALL volumes. The piano in Elton John's Bennie and the Jets (96kHz/24-bit) sounds like I am sitting in front of it .. amazing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING HEADPHONES! I bought them in Berlin with discounted price 150 euros, and heated them about a week, after which the sound became just awesome! I have also Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro. which I used to consider as the best headphones ever. After the warm up Sony became even better than Beyers. It also has internal amplifier, which I just used few times. With it it plays fantastic! Recommend to everyone who loves great, pure and detailed sound!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Decent Product/Horrible Customer Service They sound decent. Actually, they sound pretty good when connect through the lighting cable to an iPhone 6. But see the following issues:1. Using it through the USB port in a MacBook Pro is very simple, but can be frustrating if you've never done it before. The instruction manual does not explain properly how to use them with a computer. Customer service had absolutely no idea how to set up. I had to Google the whole thing up somewhere else.2. High-res media player that is advertised in the instruction manual is nowhere to be found. The link provided was broken. Had to undertake a lengthy Google search just to find it in a different Sony website (certainly not the one advertised in the manual).3. The advertised charging accessory is nowhere to be found for purchase in Sony's website.4. Headphone usability will depend on how durable the proprietary cables last. Sony will surely not support this product past a certain date. They barely support it now. This is my second time trying to post this review. Sony doesn't like negative reviews listed.
