Ok but missed opportunity

Wanted something that I could have at close hand for physical control of the OB-4 and/or a directly paired ipad or iphone. This is small and far too light to be stable on a non magnetic surface. That combined with the non tacky bottom, it just slides all over the place on my wood standing desk… I probably should have read the specs closer. Magnetically attached, it’s fine, i just don’t know why they couldn’t have solved for non magnetic surfaces with additional weight and some tacky material for the bottom. I’ll probably see if i can improve it myself. I’ve had to repair it bluetooth multiple times with the OB-4… switched the OB-4 to auto switching and party mode, we’ll see if that makes it less painful. Last comment… the UX construct of single dial, single button…. Doesn’t quite work well. A multifunction jog wheel would be more useful with fewer false inputs. I know they’re going for minimalism, but there’s a point where limitations create a poor user experience, this is probably one of them.

Beautiful remote for OD-11

This remote is the companion to the awesome OD-11 speaker by Teenage Engineering. This thing is great. Looks awesome, can be placed anywhere. It's strongly magnetic, so it'll even attach to a metal surface in any orientation. It works great for adjusting the volume of the speaker. That said, the other functions (play/pause/skip) work about 90% of the time, and then with a slight delay. Inexplicably they occasionally don't want to work. That said, it's a great little device and I'm happy with it.
