I have had this drive since 2017 and formatted it to use with a Dell Desktop/Windows 10. No problems until one day I put an old homemade DVD home video into the PC and suddenly the G Tech drive will not let me view or edit the nearly full drive. It just says "This drive must be formatted". However all the files are still there (I can see that it's full and I can security scan the files. But I can not open them. Solutions?
Asked by: Elaine
Please try the following steps. 1. Power down the computer. 2. Power down and disconnect devices if they still show power (This drive should have a power switch in the rear). 3. Restart your computer and verify all is working. 4. Reconnect the drive (and power on if needed). 5. Verify the drive is accessible as before.
