Yes. The Oben BA-106A Single Lever Ball Head included with the Oben AC-1321 Aluminum Tripod is removable. The top base of the center column has reversible 1/4"-20 & 3/8"-16 male threads, so if your fluid head has a flat base and uses either1/4"-20 & 3/8"-16 threads, it may be used on the Oben AC-1321 Aluminum Tripod.

Does BA-106A ball head allow for smooth panning when shootings a video?
It does not. You can shoot video while using this tripod, but it will not allow you to smoothly pan. You would need a tripod with a fluid video head for that. The Magnus VT-350 Video Tripod with Fluid Head, B&H # MAVT350, is a much better choice for that.

Is this tripod compatible with the pixio system
Only if you order the additional 1/4 to 3/8 adapter. Oben 3/8 -16 to 1/4 -20 Reducer Bushing, that increases the 1/4 to a 3/8 to fit to Pixio Robot.
