Core SWX TL-BT220 Overview

The TorchLED Bolt 220R On-Camera Light with Remote Control Capability from Core SWX has a bright 220W-equivalent output and provides full dimming and variable color temperature control. Mount the light on top of your camera for event work, or position it on a light stand for indoor interviews. The 16 LED light is also bright enough to be used as a fill light when shooting outdoors. The light is wirelessly controllable from up to 250' away non-line-of-sight (NLOS) when used with the optional remote control. The remote feature allows you to control on/off, select color temperature, adjust light intensity, and sync up to nine channels. Additionally, you can bank up to ten lights per channel, allowing you to control the lights in unison.

Color temperature is adjustable from tungsten (3200K) to daylight (5600K) and is controlled by a single dial. For controlling brightness, a second dial gives you full dimming control from 0 to 100% output, with no noticeable color shift. Because it has a separate on/off switch, you can power off the light while maintaining your previous lighting settings.

The Bolt 220 features an integrated battery sled for powering the light with a Sony L-series battery. You can also use a 14.4V brick-style battery with PowerTap output for powering the light via the included PowerTap cable. The light also includes a 1/4"-20 swivel shoe mount, PowerTap cable, snap-on filter tray, diffusion filter, and a carrying pouch.

My tungsten lights will not not come on anymore after 2 months of use. Only the daylight work. Why?
Asked by: Harrison H.
I am very sorry to hear about your TorchLED Bolt 220R not working properly. Thankfully the light is covered by a 1 Year Manufacture's Warranty. At this point you should contact Switronix directly for either servicing or a replacement on what appears to be a defective light. Here is a link to their support page.http://bit.ly/1ZUc0jR

question

I am interested in purchasing 2 of these lights to use as OCF at wedding receptions, but am confused on exactly what accessories I would need to make this possible...if I purchase 2 lights, which stands do I need, which remote do I buy, which batteries do I need to purchase (and how many) and are there any other accessories that I am missing in general? Thanks!
Asked by: Melissa L.
These lights come with their own remotes and come with their own rechargeable batteries. as far as stands go, these lights are very light, so you wouldn't need anything heavy duty.

question

It says On-Camera Light but it does not attach to the flash shoe on the camera- correct? So why call it an on-camera light?
Asked by: Edward G.
This light can be attached to a camera hot shoe. Whether or not the light comes with the attachment or not you will have to ask B&H that question.

question

How may I mount this light onto an Anton Bauer XLWUL-2 Wedge Adapter using the 1/4-20 screw thread option? I would also like to mount this unit onto a 5/8 Baby Stud on a Lowel Uni-TO light stand. Any suggestions for mounting hardware?
Asked by: Bill G.
For mounting to a baby stud, I use the stud to 1/4 adapter with a ballhead too.
