question

Is this product compatible with the Olympus 75-300 1:4.8-6.7 II ED MSC lens?
Asked by: THOMAS C.
I purchased it with the new 100-400 mm telephoto and it works fine with that. However, the teleconvertor has a long (relative to its size) protruding barrel holding a lens at the end, and it would not fit with my 12 - 200mm lens. In fact you could probably damage the teleconvertor and maybe the lens by trying to attach it to a non-specified lens that has space in that does not have space its barrel for the protruding teleconvetor barrel.

Is this compatible with the Leica DG ...

Is this compatible with the Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 50-200mm f/2.8-4 ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens?
Asked by: Ellen M
Actually yes it is fully compatible with the Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 50-200mm f/2.8-4 ASPH on both Olympus and Panasonic cameras. To answer the second part of your question, a POWER O.I.S lens such as the Vario 45-175mm f/4.0-5.6 would not work because it can not physically take any sort of conventional teleconverter.

Will this converter be compatible with the new M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm f/5-6.3 IS Lens?

Yes, according to the Olympus website, you can use either the MC-14 or MC-20 teleconverters with this lens. Do see read the lens specs for more performance information when using the teleconverter with this lens (sorry, I'm not allowed to include HTML, links in this answer; but it should be easy to search for it on the Internet).

question

Ive read that the tele-converter is not compatible with standard MFT lenses because of the protruding element of the converter. My question is will it work if you attach an automatic extension tube between the converter and the lens to allow for the protruding element?
Asked by: Jonathan
I use it with non-automatic extension tubes, should also work with automatic ones.

question

When used with the 300mm F4, does this change the minimum aperture from 22 to 32?
Asked by: Anonymous
Nope, the minimum aperture remains the same, what you lose is a step of light on the other side of the aperture scale, your F/4 lens becomes a 420mm, F/5.6 lens.
