Experience high resolution gaming with the UHD+ display of the Razer Blade 14" Gaming Laptop Computer. With a 3200 x 1800 native resolution, the screen produces up to 4,320,000 more pixels than its predecessor. That's four times as many as the old Razer Blade, jumping from 131 ppi (pixels per inch) to 262 ppi. This Razer Blade also features IGZO display panel technology, which provides a wide viewing angle, accurate color, and high image quality. With up to 400 nits of brightness, the Razer Blade can be used outdoors. The visuals are handled by the dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M graphics card with 3GB of GDDR5 discrete memory. The display is also a capacitive touchscreen that takes advantage of the multi-touch gestures incorporated into Windows 8.1.
The system is powered by a quad-core 4th-gen Haswell 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7-4702HQ processor. It also has 8GB of onboard 1600 MHz DDR3L RAM, a 256GB SATA M.2 solid state drive, 802.11ac Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n backwards compatible), Bluetooth 4.0, three USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI 1.4a port, an integrated 2.0 megapixel webcam, and an array microphone. There are also built-in stereo speakers with Dolby Digital Plus Home Theater Edition.
Windows 8.1 (64-bit) is the installed operating system. Windows 8.1 improves the user experience of Windows 8 with several additions and changes. The Start button returns, but has two limited core functions. A left click takes you to the redesigned Start screen featuring tiles that update in real-time. A right click brings up an advanced menu where you can access the Device Manager, Control Panel and more. You will also be able to boot directly to the traditional desktop screen instead of the Windows 8.1 Start screen. Windows 8.1 provides a unique user experience that differs from previous versions of Windows.
