Experience high resolution gaming with the Full HD display of the Razer Blade Pro 17.3" Gaming Laptop Computer. With a 1920 x 1080 native resolution, the screen features a 16:9 aspect ratio, which allows you to play back Full HD 1080p content without upscaling or letterboxing. The visuals are handled by the dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M graphics card with 2GB of GDDR5 discrete memory. When the Blade Pro is not under heavy load, it switches over to integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600 to conserve battery life.

The system is powered by a quad-core 4th-gen Haswell 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7-4700HQ processor. It also has 16GB of DDR3L RAM, a 256GB SATA III solid state drive, 802.11ac Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n backwards compatible), Bluetooth 4.0, three USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI 1.4a port, an integrated 2.0 megapixel webcam, and an array microphone. There are also built-in stereo speakers with Dolby Digital Plus Home Theater Edition.

Windows 8.1 (64-bit) is the installed operating system. Windows 8.1 improves the user experience of Windows 8 with several additions and changes. The Start button returns, but has two limited core functions. A left click takes you to the redesigned Start screen featuring tiles that update in real-time. A right click brings up an advanced menu where you can access the Device Manager, Control Panel and more. You will also be able to boot directly to the traditional desktop screen instead of the Windows 8.1 Start screen. Windows 8.1 provides a unique user experience that differs from previous versions of Windows.

Razer Blade Pro

Quad-Core 4th-Gen Haswell Intel Core i7 Performance

The Razer Blade Pro features a 4th-generation Haswell Intel Core i7-4700HQ processor. Its quad cores can reach a stock speed of 2.4 GHz. The processor can also be overclocked up to 3.4 GHz, thanks to Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 technology. The Haswell processor uses low voltage to ensure better battery life without sacrificing performance. With a dedicated 6MB L3 cache, 16GB of DDR3L RAM, and Intel Hyper-Threading technology, you'll be able to multitask quickly and efficiently.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M Graphics

Housing the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M graphics card with 2GB of GDDR5 discrete memory, the Razer Blade Pro is definitely gamer-grade and enthusiast-approved. With DirectX 11.1 compatibility, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M provides all the power needed to make PC games look and perform great. With a 60% performance increase over the previous generation GPUs, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M GPU supports enhanced anti-aliasing to sharpen textures. Frame rates can improve without compromising performance.

802.11ac Wi-Fi & Bluetooth 4.0

The Razer Blade Pro supports 802.11ac Wi-Fi, which provides a high-speed connection to your home or office wireless network. Building on the foundation of 802.11n Wi-Fi, the 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard can provide higher data transfer speeds, greater coverage, and reduced latency than its predecessor. The Razer Blade Pro is also backwards compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi as well. There is also Bluetooth 4.0 technology for connecting to Bluetooth-compatible devices, such as a wireless mouse.

Switchblade User Interface

The Razer Blade Pro's Switchblade UI is an innovative user interface designed from the ground up for a more efficient and intuitive experience for your professional grade software and games. There are 10 dynamic tactile keys and a revolutionary LCD track pad to put tools and possibilities at your fingertips. The Switchblade UI will make gestures feel natural and intuitive for editing, designing, and gaming.

Thin, Lightweight Design

Traditionally, gaming laptops have been made with a variety of complex components, which add unnecessary thickness and weight. Measuring just 0.88 inches thin and weighing just 6.54 pounds, the Razer Blade has the thin, lightweight design for a large 17.3" notebook computer, but still maintains the performance of one. Designed for the road warrior, Razer focused on all aspects of the Blade's travel experience, including the power supply. Sleek and lightweight without compromising power, the 150 watt power adapter is ready for gaming wherever you are.

Digital Digital Plus Home Theater Edition

The Razer Blade Pro also comes with Dolby Digital Plus Home Theater Edition, featuring immersive audio-quality output that is custom-tuned to deliver a cinematic audio experience.

Windows 8.1

The Return of the Start Button

After many requests from Windows users, the Start button makes its triumphant return in Windows 8.1. While it may not be exactly the same as its predecessor in Windows 7, the Start button has two core functions. A left click on the Start button will take you to the Windows 8.1 Start screen featuring live tiles. A right click on the Start button brings up an advanced menu where you can access the Device Manager, Control Panel, Network options, and more.

Boot Directly to the Desktop

Windows 8.1 gives you the choice of booting to the Windows 8.1 Start screen with live tiles or booting to the familiar desktop screen of Windows 7. Users can also boot directly into an app or app view if they choose to.

To the Cloud

With Windows 8.1, when signed in using your Microsoft account, you'll have instant access to your personal Start screen, themes, language preferences, browsing history, and browser favorites. You can also connect to services such as Microsoft Outlook, Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, and more.

Windows Store

In the Windows Store, you can search for or browse thousands of apps. Choose from the featured apps or grab one of the most frequently downloaded apps to see what all the hype is all about. You can also see how other people rate apps. For certain apps, you can try it out before you purchase it.
