Is this considered a superwide? Does exposure compensation need to be added to expose the long ends of the film/paper?
Asked by: Charlie
The HARMAN technology TiTAN 4 x 5" Pinhole Camera has a 72mm focal length with a 97° angle of view, which would be roughly equivalent to a 20mm lens used on a full-frame 35mm camera. This would be right near the beginning of the focal lengths considered as a super-wide angle lens.

question

Please suggest a suitable optical viewfinder for this camera?
Asked by: Anonymous
Unfortunately, there is not a viewfinder specifically designed for use with this camera, or for cameras with a 5:4 film aspect ratio. Most of the optical viewfinders we carry are designed for use with the 35mm 3:2 aspect ratio. However, if you are looking for an optical option that may work for your needs, while it would not exactly cover the frame on the long ends due to the aspect ratio difference, the Ricoh GV-1 External Viewfinder B&H # RIGV1, the Sigma VF-31 External Optical Viewfinder, B&H # SIVF31, and the Zeiss ZI Viewfinder for Zeiss Ikon Camera When Used with 18mm ZM Lens, B&H # ZEVF18, would have the closest angle of view for use with the Ilford HARMAN TiTAN 4 x 5 Pinhole Camera.

question

Can I use medium format backs for 4x5 cameras?
Asked by: Troy B.
If by "medium format back" you mean a roll film back that uses 120 roll film on a 4x5 camera then yes. I've used the Horseman 6x9 and 6x12 backs on the Harman Titan without issues.

question

there are 2 white screws came with the box, what are they for?
Asked by: Y W C.
If they are small and plastic, then they are used to assemble the round exposure table. Once the round tables are cut out of the paper, the white screws are used to connect the two round pieces of paper together in the center so you can spin the top one around to find the appropriate exposure setting. If you use a handheld light meter, you don't need to use the paper table.

question

Does this come with the 3 sets of ilford photo film?
Asked by: Caroline W.
No it does not. I just bought this kit and it comes with the camera and the paper exposure calculator. You will need to buy a 4x5 film holder and 4x5 film (or 4x5 direct positive paper) to use this camera. (The older version of this kit did include film but that version is no longer available.)
