Does Auray make a version of this adapter that is 3/8" female/ID all the way through?
It does not appear that Auray makes a thread adapter in 5/8 to 3/8 format without also including 1/4-20. What is the thread pitch of the 5/8 exterior threads? Is it 5/8-11, 5/8-18, or 5/8-27?
What I can tell you is that it is works with a standard microphone clip. I just looked up the standard threads per inch in a standard microphone clip. The answer I got was 5/8-27. It was answered by Shure Customer Support (One of the biggest names in microphones. Here's the link:Well it wouldn't let me include a link to an external site. But, that's the answer I got. You can try to google the question or find the question on the Shure Customer help site if you would like to see it for yourself.Hope this helps.

Is this adapter hollow? In other words, can you see through it--or is there something separating the 1/4 threads from the 3/8 threads?
Technically, you can see through the center; however, there is a ledge around the circumference of the interior that separates the two different-sized threads and acts as a stop against the top of the threaded post you are screwing it to.
