Rated 5 out of 5 by from Godsend... worth every penny I'm a union camera/steadicam op and also do 1st AC work. You have no idea how much this item is useful to mount your Teradek Bolt Pro to keep your camera rig as low profile as possible. It's a pass through power design, so you DONT have to wait for Electric to run power for you. Makes it easier to power the camera AND the transmitter at the same time. Tips: - buy a D Tap splitter...one of those 4 way ones. That way, you can power other accessories, especially when using a RED Epic for instance. Example would be if running a Bar Tech wireless follow focus, or a SmallHD 702 monitor that you're powering with a dummy LP-E6 canon battery. You may have 2 monitors on your camera rig, who knows? - you may want to buy the Anton Bauer 4 D Tap Quad Splitter plate to sandwich between the battery and THIS item if you don't want to purchase the D Tap splitter. -if you're doing Steadicam, I mount this item low on my rig. Utilizing the pass through power feature, I mount it directly to my Marshall 7 monitor that came with my Tiffen Steadicam. THIS also helps with keeping the front of the steadicam rig balanced with the back at the bottom end if you're using 2 batteries. -if you're running an Alexa, mount your Alexa onto the dovetail as far forward as possible since this will add weight to the back of your rig. -if you're going handheld or using the Eazy Rig type set up and you have a Bolt 600 or Bolt 2000, take the antennas OFF the transmitter. If you still get signal, LEAVE THEM OFF. A cinematographer I was working with wanted to do handheld, threw the camera in a center of a few angry zombies, and someone snapped one of the antennas off. :( Usually most people with grab the Top Handle of the camera rig (like on a Red Epic for instance) and since space is limited to get those low angle shot, you have want to be careful how you grab the handle with 2 antennas sticking up... know what I mean? -Massimo
