The BlurFix with ND8/CP Filter from Snake River Prototyping combines a lightweight slip-over filter frame for the GoPro HERO4/3+/3 with an ND8 neutral density and circular polarizer combo filter. The filter frame fits directly over the lens body of a naked GoPro HERO4, HERO3+, or HERO3 and can be used with the Frame Mount. The filter reduces the amount of light hitting the sensor by 3.8 to 4.3 stops (depending on the orientation of the circular polarizer), allowing the camera to shoot at slower shutter speeds for more natural-looking motion blur. The circular polarizer aspect helps to cut glare and reflections from glossy surfaces and enhance sky contrast.
Weighing only 0.27 ounces, the filter is ideal for maintaining a lightweight package for use with quadcopters and other radio controlled aircraft. The BlurFix Air is constructed from two CNC-machined Delrin pieces, allowing it to be easily disassembled for cleaning of the filter glass. Because the HERO4/3+/3 lens body can vary slightly from camera to camera, an O-ring is included that can be installed in a groove on the inside of the BlurFix Air body to provide a secure fit. A storage case and microfiber cleaning patch are also included.
Note: The filter frame is not compatible with GoPro housings.
