Enjoy robust virtual surround sound with the ZVOX SoundBase 570 65W Soundbar System. This speaker uses a class-D digital amplifier, and can produce up to 65W of total power. Housed inside of this soundbar are five 2" main speaker drivers and a 5.25" subwoofer. Built-in Bluetooth technology allows you to wirelessly stream audio from compatible devices such as smartphones and tablets.

The SoundBase 570 is well equipped for wired device connections with two stereo RCA, two optical, digital coaxial, and 3.5mm interfaces. As an added convenience, stereo RCA and digital optical cables are included. In addition to including a remote control, this soundbar system can be controlled using your existing remote.

PhaseCue II Virtual Surround Sound
The SoundBase 570 uses ZVOX's proprietary PhaseCue II virtual surround processing. This technology is designed to deliver rich, three-dimensional virtual surround sound for movies or music.
Output Leveling (OL)
Pushing the OL button on the remote control activates the soundbar's internal processing. This feature is designed to make soft sounds louder and loud sounds softer, so there are fewer jarring moments when switching channels or when commercials come on. This system also helps by boosting the audio levels from a DVD or Blu-ray player that is not loud enough.
AccuVoice
When you push the "DE" button on the remote control you engage a circuit that mimics the functions of a hearing aid. The frequencies used by human voices are dynamically emphasized, while other frequencies are minimized for clear dialog playback.
Built-In Bluetooth Wireless Audio
This soundbar uses BlueGiga Bluetooth Wireless Audio with aptX for optimal connectivity, range, and sound quality.
Green Design
The SoundBase 570 uses an efficient class-D digital amplifier. Even at loud volumes, it typically consumes less than 10W of total power. And standy power usage is approximately 0.1W.
Uses Your Existing Remote Control
This SoundBase system can be programmed to respond to your existing remote control. The illuminated display walks you through a programming cycle, then your remote can control volume, mute, and power functions of the ZVOX system. Once configured, turning on your TV will automatically turn on the ZVOX system. Approximately three minutes after you turn off your TV, the ZVOX system will automatically go into standby mode.
Disappearing Display
The SoundBase 570 features a four-digit display located behind the speaker grille that shows the current setting for volume, bass, treble, and PhaseCue II (virtual surround). It also shows when you have engaged the mute, Output Leveling (OL), or Dialog Emphasis (DE) features. A few seconds after you stop using your remote (or front panel) controls, the display disappears completely.
Multiple Inputs and Dolby Digital Decoder
The SoundBase 570 has two analog audio inputs, two optical (Toslink) digital inputs, one coaxial digital input, and a front-panel 3.5mm analog stereo input for convenient connection of your iPod or other portable audio device. Any specific input can be selected using either the remote control or the slim-line module below the speaker grille. The two digital inputs work with a built-in Dolby Digital decoder, which can improve virtual surround performance, and allow for simplified connections to a wide variety of TVs, cable boxes, and disc players.
Wood (MDF) Cabinet
The SoundBase 570 features a hand-built cabinet of heavy MDF. Its low-profile frame is designed to seamlessly blend with flat-panel TVs.
Additional Features
  • Remote Control Buttons: Power on/off, volume up/down, mute, PhaseCue II (three level settings), bass up/down and treble up/down, input selection, Output Leveling (OL), AccuVoice (ACCU)
  • Designed to match TVs up to 60"
  • The SoundBase 570 is bi-amplified, using a specially designed amplifier that includes electronic contouring for an optimized frequency response

SoundBase 570 65W Soundbar System is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from First rate Sound excellent - huge improvement over speakers built in to our Samsung TV display. Agree with other reviewer who mentioned that the remote needs to be in a straight line with the ZVOX to operate, but the quality of the sound makes up for that little irritant. The ACCUsound mode really improves the clarity of human voice. Remarkable. Don't know just how that signal modification works, but it does. You don't want to use it for music having a wide range, but when I use it for voice I hear dialogue clearly that I previously struggled to decipher.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for the money Always had problems listening to dialogues in movies; especially when they are speaking very quietly. The ZVOX 570 ACCU button clears everything up. Now, I do not need those words on the screen to follow what I am watching. Super.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big, Full Sound This was purchased to augment the thin Samsung TV speakers in the den. It doesn't quite compare to our Onkyo 5.1 or Bose Acoustimass systems, but the sound is excellent for the price. Setup was easy and the more I fiddled with it, the more I liked the original default settings with a little emphasis on the treble. There's plenty of bass! Training it to accept the TV remote was as simple as it gets, and unlike many products these days, you can actually read and understand the instructions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Upgrade for Plasma/LCD TV Sound The ZVOX 570 has worked out perfectly for us. I have a 46 Panasonic plasma TV that has the usual lousy speakers. For many of the PBS/BBC shows we watch, the dialogue was hard to understand at times. The Accu-Voice function brings out the voice dialogue very clearly. The 570 has solved that problem and also given high quality sound with real bass which we have never had with the TV's built-in speakers. Installation was easy and straight forward. The only con would be that the infa-red receiver is not as sensitive as I would like. The TV, DVR and all my other components will read a signal straight on, from the side or even bounced off the ceiling or a wall. The 570 will only read the signal straight-on or just little bit side to side. I believe this is because the infa-red receiver button is behind the front mesh grill. I have toyed with the idea to move the receiver button to the bottom of the chassis or drill a hole the mesh.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent sound First of all, be certain of what you are getting! This is NOT a soundbar, but rather a soundbase which is a rather large rectangular box that the TV sits on top of. This allows it have a decent built-in subwoofer without need for a separate unit. Setup was painless and my mother's cable remote was easily trained to control it. The dialog enhancement feature works well. It blows away the built-in speakers on the TV. I haven't compared it to any other brand but did have the opportunity to compare it to the ZVOX 320, which is a smaller (and older) soundbase. This one is much better. The 320 doesn't do internal Dolby decoding and therefore required analog inputs from each source for decent sound volume. The 570 worked perfectly with a single optical digital cord from the TV. If the size of the unit doesn't bother you (i.e. no wall mounting!), this is highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I am well pleased with the ZVOX 570. It looks well made and definitely sounds so much better than small TV speakers. Quite often the audio quality from one TV show, sporting event or movie varies a lot, but with the ZVOX I'm able to quickly make adjustments to improve the sound or enhance the dialogue. The surround sound effects are less than with a true surround setup but it's nice not having all those speakers sitting all over the place. The recommended way to connect the ZVOX is to use the digital optical audio out on your TV. Just make sure your TV outputs the Dolby signal without decoding it. My 5 year old TV converted the signal to 2 channel stereo before output, so at first I got less than optimal sound. Fortunately my cable box had an optical out that I was able to use instead.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent substitution for full surround After reviewing many other options including Bose and Yamaha, I selected this one, as it seemed to have the best reviews and specs. Ordered on a Monday night, and it was in my hands by Thursday - remarkable delivery speed - considering I'm in Toronto Canada!! The SoundBar seems very well made, with a good selection of inputs - including two digital optical - which was required, as I have a PVR and a computer I wanted to hook up. Being a live sound technician for many years, I am probably more sensitive to bad sound - and was a bit sceptical that a single speaker/amp like this could be any good. But I was impressed - not blown away - but impressed with the clarity of sound and the quality of the mids & highs. I wasn't expecting alot of bass, and there wasn't - but it was adequate for the majority of TV shows & movies we watched. But I was missing the deep resonance and feeling the bass in action movies. I had a spare 8 powered sub, and it was when I hooked that up that my wife and I started going wow over the sound. So - very good standalone - but awesome paired with a sub.
