SanDisk CZ43 overview

  • 1Description

The low profile 32GB CZ43 Ultra Fit USB 3.0 flash drive from SanDisk offers a read speed of 150 MB/s to provide fast access to your videos, images, music, and files. This flash drive features USB 3.0 technology that moves data between devices ten times faster compared to USB 2.0. With a tiny design so you hardly know it is there, the flash drive can stay attached to your notebook, game console, TV, in-car audio system, and more, to provide an ever present storage capacity of 32GB.

SanDisk includes two downloadable software programs that provide security and recovery for data stored on the flash drive. SanDisk offers SecureAccess software compatible with Windows and Mac systems, which creates a password protected private folder on the flash drive. The folder is 128-bit AES encrypted, so you can share the flash drive with other people while protecting your sensitive information. In addition to the security software, for one year SanDisk also includes RescuePro for recovering accidentally deleted files from the drive.

    SanDisk CZ43 reviews

    32GB CZ43 Ultra Fit USB 3.0 is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well in my application. When it is inserted, there is minimal protrusion from the panel - no chance to accidentally bend or break it. I use it as a log in key so it stays plugged into the front panel of the computer most of the time. I chose this black unit for a new computer to differentiate it from the white unit used for my existing computer. The log in key uses only a kB sized file in the root directory of the flash drive. A folder in the root directory hold all those static files (disk images, driver downloads, etc) that I don't want cluttering up my backup files.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fails after not much use I'd like to revise my positive review of May 2015. This device has failed, the failure is likely because it overheats. It runs much much hotter than the equivalent small USB flash drives from Samsung and Lexar. This drive will no longer format or hold data fully, I've tried several approaches to fixing this problem, including advanced formatting software. Used this flash drive for file storage with my Windows laptop, never tried plugging it directly into a car stereo USB port--an idea a floated in my original review. Also Sandisk (Western Digital now) makes it harder to get a return authorization than Lexar (Micron) does. I've used plenty of Sandisk SD and CF cards over there years, not one has failed, nor for that matter have Lexar, Transcend or Samsung cards failed me. But I've never had flash storage run this hot. (Normal sized USB flash drives from Sandisk don't seem to have this problem--but I've not tested a new fullsized USB 3 capable one.)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Get's HOT in USB 3.0 I have a MB Air 2014, and I ordered this for my USB 3.0 drive. The first one I recieved got so hot, that I couldn't touch the any part of the metal. I thought it might ruin my USB port. I called B&H, and they immediatly sent out a replacement. Just got the second one in, and same problem. I have tried several other USB 3.0 flash drives in the same port, and they get warm, but not blazing hot. I am relegated to using these as USB 2.0 flash drives.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works, but gets hot fast idk what that means Works obviously. Gets pretty hot though, pretty fast. Not sure if that's a great thing... I'm talking about heat from transferring like 500mb not sitting in the computer. I'm no expert.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small enough to swallow It's the smallest in my flash drive corral but it holds the most data. My only reservation is it's extra-small size: it's too easily lost in pocket or purse or on a busy work surface or overlooked in a USB port. An included pull cord or a brightly colored end piece would help to keep track of it. Use caution around children or pets!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oustanding I have used a Kingston and Lacie older models, which are useful but slow. The SanDisk blows both of them out of the water. Using it in an Denon HS5500 and it is fast to load in the computer, and still compatible with and old piece of gear. If you looking for well build, quick, and low profile this is where it is at.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from propose to use in car Fast compact. Comes with encryption software, didn't try. Gets hot. Looks very useful for USB port on car stereo, assuming car stereo's OS can see different folders and names. Don't own car stereo with USB port--still using CD player. Feel like I'll lose it.
