The Baja B4 uses a rechargeable Li-ion battery which can provide up to 550 full-power flashes on a single charge. Also, users can adjust the power in 1/10-stop increments through a 6-stop power range and it has a recycle time of about 2.9 seconds to full power.

The Baja B4 features a flash duration ranging from 1/12800 to 1/500 second and an LED modeling light. A built-in optical slave contributes to the wireless convenience by triggering upon the firing of other strobes. A stroboscopic C-mode is also available for 5, 10, or 15 flashes per second. Additionally, it has audible flash indicators, a glass dome, metal light stand swivel mount, and a standard Bowens accessory mount. Included with the light are a receiver, umbrella reflector, clear protective cover, and a clear protective cap.

Can you use a PocketWizard transmitter, or must one buy a proprietary transmitter, for wireless operation other than in optical slave mode?

While you can use the Dynalite BRT transmitters with this light, a Pocket Wizard transceiver can be attached to it using the sync connection on the light in order to fire it from another Pocket Wizard transceiver placed on the camera.

Anyone know if I could shoot a Mamiya RZ67 with these lights? and how I would go about that?

As the Mamiya RZ67 Professional Pro II Medium Format SLR Camera has a hot shoe built onto the left-hand side of the camera, the included Dynalite Wireless Transmitter for Baja B4 Monolight may be used in the camera's hot shoe to wirelessly trigger the Dynalite Baja B4 Battery Powered 2-Monolight Kit. As an alternative, as the Dynalite Baja B4 Monolights also have a standard 1/4 phone sync terminal on the rear of the monolight, you may purchase the Impact Sync Cord - 1/4 Phono Male to PC Male - 16' (4.8 m), B&H # IMPMPCM16Q, or the Impact Sync Cord - 1/4 Phono Male to PC Male - 20' (6.1 m), B&H # IMPMPCM20, to connect the monolight to the PC sync terminal on your lens for wired triggering usage needs.

Please be aware this can change by the manufacturer over the product's production life without notice. Dynalite is a USA company located in Union, New Jersey.

I purchased these lights, but didn't realize how shallow the umbrella hole was. I tried to use an off brand softlighter style modifier with it, but it would not fit very well. Has anyone had any success using a modifier like that with these lights?

Unfortunately, you are correct. The umbrella socket on the Dynalite Baja B4 Battery-Powered Monolight is shallow, so the Photek Softlighter would not work with the built-in umbrella socket. If you are looking for an alternative that will work for your usage needs, I would recommend to purchase the Impact Swivel Umbrella Adapter, B&H # IMCA108. You may mount the Dynalite Baja B4 on top of the Impact Swivel Umbrella Adapter, and it has an umbrella socket that will accept the Photek Softlighter.

Unfortunately, yes, the umbrella socket for the Dynalite Baja B4 Battery-Powered Monolight is too shallow for use with the Photek Softlighter Umbrella. However, you may purchase an umbrella adapter such as either the Manfrotto Lite-Tite Swivel Umbrella Adapter, B&H # MA026, or the Impact Swivel Umbrella Adapter, B&H # IMCA108, for your planned usage needs.

it has its own remote trigger that is great, you can change setting from camera on multiple lights . but if you must and have both transmitter and receiver sure the wizard will work.
