Nikon W10 overview

  • 1Description

The camouflage 10x21 Aculon W10 Binoculars from Nikon build on the success of the T01 models, while getting an upgrade with the addition of a nitrogen-filled housing to make them waterproof and fogproof. They are designed for mid-range observations, with an anti-reflection multi-coated lens system and roof prism optical path designed to work together and transmit clear images with enhanced contrast and accurate color representation. Nikon's twist-up rubber eyecups have multiple click-stop settings that enable a comfortable viewing distance even while wearing eyeglasses or sunglasses. This version of the Aculon is ideal for sporting events, general nature observing, and sightseeing around town or around the world — no matter what the weather has in store.

Optical Performance
  • Powerful 10x magnification allows for detailed observations of distant objects
  • 21mm objectives ensure the optical tubes are thin to maintain a slim form factor
  • Compact roof prism light path keeps the optical tubes thin for easy handling
  • Anti-reflection multicoated optics maximize light transmission while improving color rendition, contrast, and clarity
  • 262-foot field of view at 1000 yards
Use and Handling
  • Closed-bridge configuration offers a stable platform for the internal focusing mechanism
  • Textured and slip-resistant center focusing wheel
  • Right-eye dioptric correction dial helps to compensate for individual optical prescription
  • Twist-up rubber eyecups for comfortable use with or without eyewear
  • 8.3mm eye relief
  • 2.1mm exit pupil
Construction Details
  • Traditional woodland camouflage pattern won't draw notice in the wild and spook birds and animals while observing them
  • Corrosion-proof plastic housing
  • Nitrogen filled, waterproof, and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme changes in temperature and environmental conditions
  • Textured rubberized palm pads improve grip security in cold and wet weather

Nikon W10 reviews

10x21 Aculon W10 Binoculars (Camouflage) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Very clear image at any distance (I watch up to 3km). I even don't change focus viewing from 50m up to 3km. With my Nikon A211 16x50 I slightly rotate the focus wheel. There are a few minor cons: 1. During movement there is a minor aberration like when you watch with a magnifier. No such an aberration with my Nikon A211. 2. I had to rotate the diopter wheel of the right eyepiece. Didn't do that on Nikon A211. This is a great binocular, not a toy. After a shittty UpClose G2 binocular from Celestron, I thought that such a small binocular can't be so good.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Will be returning these The optics aren't bad. But, the eye cups are not deep enough to allow comfortable viewing. I was hoping these would be good for occasional use when not carrying heavier binoculars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Biking Binocular Fits easily into my bike bag under my seat. Simple to use and can see most birds with detail.
