question

Can this switcher accept HDMI camera inputs?
Asked by: Jack C.
The NewTek TriCaster Mini Control Surface is not actually a switcher thus it does not have any camera inputs. It is meant to control the NewTek TriCaster Mini HD-4 line of switchers.

question

Does this switcher allow wipes, such Picture in Picture, or only fades?
Asked by: Richard D.
This product is a control surface for the TriCaster Mini Switcher, B&H # NETCMBC. The TriCaster Mini HD-4 will allow for a wide variety of transitions including wipes and fades. It also has advanced compositing tools that will allow you to set up a Picture-in-Picture.

question

does the lower third editor support Arabic language ?
Asked by: Mohamed A.
All TriCaster's have a character generator and this will allow what you wish to do. However, we wish to caution you B&H only sells the NTSC, not the PAL version of the TriCaster line. For PAL versions, please contact your local dealer or TriCaster directly.

question

Will I be able to Use/Control the Panasonic WV-SC384 security indoor PTZ Camera with the Tricaster mini Control Surface?
Asked by: Anonymous
A TriCaster spokesperson feels that it should be able to. Their suggestion is to go to the TriCaster forums where their engineers would be of assistance. http://forums.newtek.com/forumdisplay.php?178-TriCaster-General-Support

The control surface for the TC350 would not be compatible with the Mini HD-4. However, the Mini Control Surface would be a good option to consider for this system.

question

Are you able to add more inputs via an external capture card connected by USB?
Asked by: Shahed E.
In order to handle more cameras with TriCasters, you need additional switchers. USB is not able to handle multiple high quality camera feeds; it cannot handle the bandwidth.

question

I read that it is possible to add USB video sources through the Network inputs. Could I connect a Blackmagic Design Intensity Shuttle to the Tricaster itself or a PC on the same network and recieve the video feed through the network input?
Asked by: Shahed E.
You can bring in PC on the same network and receive the video feed as a network input on the TriCaster Mini by using NDI tools Here is the link regarding such applications. https://www.newtek.com/ndi/applications/. The efficacy of the Blackmagic Design Intensity Shuttle in this situation is unknown. NewTek suggests that you post your question in their forums.
