Sirui 3T-35K overview

  • 1Description

The black Sirui 3T-35K Table Top Tripod is a versatile camera support that can also be used as a handheld pole for video shots, selfies, or low- or high-angle shots. It can hold up to 8.8 lb, weighs just 15.2 oz, and reaches 13.4" with its two-section column fully extended. With the column removed and the head installed directly to the legs the tripod has a minimum height of just 4.5".

The ball head has an Arca-type compatible clamp and quick-release plate, and a 90° notch for shooting in portrait mode. The legs of the tripod fold down for extended reach when using it as a selfie pole, or fold up to give you a solid grip to handhold the pole when shooting stills or video. An included carabiner allows you to attach the tripod to a loop for easy transport.

    Sirui 3T-35K reviews

3T-35K Table Top Tripod (Black) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from good quality & surprisingly stable I wanted a stable, compact, lightweight tripod for those times when I don't have my main tripod with me, compatibility with the Arca type ball head was essential so that I don't have to keep changing plates on the camera body. I use an Olympus OM-D E-M1 complete with HLD-7 battery grip and pro/zoom lenses, this tripod easily copes with the weight even when the camera is rotated to portrait orientation showing no sign of flex or being unbalanced, as an aside the only downside for me is the colour but B&H shipped so quickly I didn't have time to amend my order :-D

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very well made compact stand I am using this to hold a Vanguard Endeavor HD82A spotting scope and it works very well. This is a heavy 8lb scope and the stand is plenty steady. Just make sure to snug up the rotational section to prevent the scope from toppling over. The feet are not too long so the base circle is small meaning if you extend the stand to its tallest range anything you have mounted will have a greater chance of falling over. This is truer with off balance things like a heavy spotting scope. But on the plus side this is a well-made, easy to adjust compact unit that is quite adequate at a value level price point. It includes a nice carry case, second height post and the allen wrench to change post.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent I'd prefer a way to truly lock the ball. I tried using it as a makeshift horizontal handle for a gimbal in inverted mode by attaching it at a right angle to the bottom of the gimbal's handle. At just over half the recommended maximum weight and tightened more than I'd feel comfortable tightening it, the ball still shifted easily. Same with the knob that you turn to extend the column. So as far as I'm concerned, the spec of 8.8 lbs is the max you can put on it strictly as a tripod. I wouldn't rely on this as a handheld pole with anything remotely heavy, even half as much as the spec'd max.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from small, light and strictly table top Tripod is small and very light. The legs open only into one position as shown in the image therefore any slant or un evenness of surface it cannot work. I got this and then also got mefoto day trip which is same length but flexible legs but the head base took micro Arca so replaced base plate with Desmond base plate and got a stndard Arca me foto tripod. BTW sirui is std Arca plate. Seriously recommend the mefoto.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality for lighter gear. I've been on the lookout for a table pod for a while to play with low angle photography and interior photography in locations where a full sized tripod isn't allow or would attract too much attention. Most of the table pods I've seen in the $-$ range were flimsy toys. I'm shooting a Nikon D800e with 16-35/f4, 50 f/1.8, and 85 f/1.4 lenses. Granted this is a heavy system but I needed something with a fighting chance and this looked like it could be it.I have an RRS L-plate on my camera and the Arca-Swiss style clamp on this ball head made for a no-brainer easy clamping solution. The tripod itself is will made and does not feel cheap or flimsy. The leg locking mechanism is very clever making quick setup and breakdown a piece of cake. The only downside is that the ball head itself wasn't made to handle the weight of a D800, L-plate and 16-35mm f/4 off axis. You really have to clamp down on the ball head knob to prevent any slipping. I'm sure this pod wasn't designed with something so heavy in mind.Users of mirror less bodies or DX crop sensor bodies with kit lenses will have no issues whatsoever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Just took this item with me out to Arizona.... used to in conjunction with my HD video camera mostly to take timer shots of my bro and I ... selfies long before they called them that ....anyways it was very very good. sturdy... the camera angles (low to the ground ) were excellent..... and it worked well as I hand held it shooting video...made the camera a bit more steady For the 50 or so bucks it cost....cant beat it.. took up no room and was very very versatile.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Design is 85% there, quality is 98% This tripod is made with quality materials and features. I give only 3 stars b/c of design function; i.e., you have to put exercise weights on it when photog'ing in vertical position. That may not be a deal-breaker for everyone. Also, can't adjust feet to accommodate non-level surfaces (outdoors). But, if you're setting it on a tabletop in landscape mode, OR using as a mini (really durable) short selfie stick, it'll totally do the job! Really portable and handy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from YES, Mr. or Miss photographer, BUY THIS! Fantastic piece of camera equipment. I own several trippds, but didn't' have one as portable as this PLUS, all you need is a table top or the hood of a car. Great purcase, well made, and would definitely suggest that every photographer should ave one of these in his or her arsenal.
