The versatile and portable AT-3535 Folding 5-Section Aluminum Travel Tripod with BE-208T Ball Head from Oben is a compact and lightweight kit that sets up quickly, folds up neatly into its own carry bag, and offers a variety of options for the photographer on the go.

The Oben AT-Series 5-section tripod reaches a maximum height of 51.6" via the integrated twist locks, which also permit fast and effortless height adjustment. Each leg can be positioned independently at three locking angles (22.5°-24°, 50°, or 80°) to ensure stable support when shooting on uneven terrain. Integrated spiked feet, beneath the non-slip rubber feet, provide steadiness on soft ground, grass, or sand. The adjustable center column is equipped with a spring-loaded weight hook for added stability in windy conditions.

This tripod boasts several options for low-angle shooting, including a separate, reversible low-angle center column that enables shooting at a height of just 8.6". For additional adaptability, one leg of the tripod can be removed and used as a monopod.

Oben's BE-Series dual-action ball head is included with the tripod to match its portability and performance. It features a dual-lock design that allows independent adjustment of the ball and panoramic base. The integrated bubble level ensures accurate camera alignment with the horizon and an Arca-type compatible quick release plate permits effortless mounting and dismounting of your camera.

Enhancing its portability, the entire kit weighs just 2.9 lb and folds down to a easy-to-transport 12". A shoulder strap and custom carrying case are included for portability and added protection.

5-Section Tripod
The lightweight and durable aluminum tripod features 5-section telescoping legs secured by ergonomic twist locks.
Three Locking Angles
The legs can be set at three different locking angles of 22.5°-24°, 50°, or 80° for stable support on uneven terrain. The leg-angle adjustment lock also allows the legs to be folded up to a compact size for transport or storage.
Spiked Feet
Removing the tripod's rubber feet exposes the spiked feet that provide steadiness and won't slip or move when placed on soft ground, grass, or sand.
Two-Piece Center Column
The two-piece adjustable center column has a telescoping section secured by twist locks for extra height and easy adjustment.
Reversible Low-Angle Center Column
The low-angle center column is ideal for low-angle photography. Reversing the center column makes it possible to mount your camera extremely close to the ground.
Integrated Monopod
One leg can be removed and in seconds becomes a monopod that extends up to 53".
Dual-Action Ball Head
Oben's BE-Series dual-action ball head boasts smooth and effortless operation and features separate locking knobs for independently adjusting the ball and panoramic base.
Arca Swiss-Type Quick-Release
The BE-Series ball head includes an Arca-type compatible quick release plate for ease in mounting and dismounting your camera.

I'd been searching for a proper travel tripod. Something that can fold down small enough to fit in my backpack, yet still be a full sized tripod. And I'd say this one fits that niche well. Unthreading all the individual legs is a little tedious when setting up and folding down the tripod over and over again, but there are sacrifices you have to make for portability.

It is a tripod of high quality, light and strong at the same time.

Who buy an expensive one?

Low cost but works well, if you don't need high line. Easy to fold.

Student Grade, includes case & strap

I admit I bought this 12 long tripod because I don't use my other carbon fiber full size tripod much. I can see myself using this more because of its compact size. I also bought this particular item because it was, at the time of purchase, an EDU Advantage special. It comes boxed and packaged in a bag with a handle and inside a pocket of the bag there is an adapter for low angle shooting and a padded shoulder strap. The bag is quite nice but I'm not sure if I will keep it as unfolding the compact size takes a couple of minutes and maybe it's better to leave compact but not folded and strap it to my camera bag. But that option is there for you if your camera bag doesn't have a tripod pocket. Weight-wise, I think I'm spoiled and should have gone with the carbon fiber version. It feels heavy to me. My full-size +60 carbon fiber tripod is slightly lighter than this 40-50 aluminum one. But I can live with it. So, why only 3 stars? As another reviewer pointed out, the twist lock assembly has issues. On my own unboxing, I inadvertently took off a leg because I twisted the lock too far and the leg fell out along with a plastic tab. I don't know the purpose of the plastic tab; when I tried to insert both back into the opening, the twist lock would not go all the way up the threads; when I left out the plastic tab, it went all the way up. A bit concerning of this happening in the field, but despite missing a piece the tripod still works. The sections do have a tendency to stick when locking/unlocking and I'm now wary of going too far in either direction lest the whole thing comes apart again. Maybe I will need to take it apart completely and spray some WD-40 on the parts but obviously to me this makes this product student grade, not semi/pro grade. Finally, the unfolding/unlocking the 180 degree folding process is a little fussy. The ball head is decent. Nice construction but the knobs don't lock well. I managed to shift the position of the ball head when I was packing the tripod back into its bag. I don't regret purchasing this, especially at the price point I paid. On Amazon there are a lot of tripod knockoffs; this is by far superior to any of those.

I can see myself using this tripod for a very long time.

Pros - Feels solid overall. - Metal bits are machined really well. - Operating the ball head is smooth and simple. - Dual spirit levels means accurate horizontal AND vertical shooting. - Adjusts as high or low as one could reasonably ask...and then you flip the center column upside-down. Wut. - Converting from a tripod to a monopod and back is simple and stupidly entertaining. - The amount of space this doesn't occupy when folded up is crazy. - Included carrying bag isn't just a cheap nylon sleeve: tough outer shell, soft and well-padded lining, w/ an internal pocket for whatever smaller tools you want to bring along on your outings. Cons - Rubber bits of leg twist locks look a bit sloppy. - No indication of where included plastic tool clamp is meant to...clamp. - Leg angle adjustment locks feel loose and fragile. I had to think really hard to come up w/ what few cons I did, and none of them ultimately impact the functionality of the tripod (not yet, anyway). Would buy again, would def recommend.

Sturdy for a small tripod

This is a well made tool. One thing I really like is not having to hold the legs to loosen the extensions. A huge plus because there are many tighteners. It is a quick setup. the quick release plate is as advertised. this one is a little short so pay attention to the max height when considering the product.
