4 Gauge Black Power Wire (100') is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from This wire is under-gauge. This wire, called 4 Gauge, is actually somewhat under 5 AWG. The conductor diameter is about 177 mil, rather than the 204 mil spec for 4 AWG. At about 87% diameter, one would expect the current-carrying capacity to be about 75% that of 4 AWG. As such it may be worth the price, but it is not as advertised. The individual strands are about 30 gauge, so it is quite flexible, though not as flexible as rubber-insulated welding cable since the vinyl insulation is about 90 mil (overall cable diameter about 357 mil). The insulation is not black, but smoky translucent.
