CyberPower 750VA AVR overview

  • 1Description

The AVRG750U AVR Series Uninterruptible Power Supply from CyberPower comes equipped with a capacity of 750VA/450W that delivers power for up to twelve electronic devices. This power supply features Automatic Voltage Regulation boost/buck technology, which provides consistent and clean AC power to all your connected equipment such as PCs, monitors, cable DSL/modems, VoIP routers, home theater devices, and more. Furthermore, it has composite integrated circuitry for lighting protection and EMI/RFI filters.

This power supply offers twelve outlets that are capable of absorbing up to 1,030 Joules for keeping your devices safe against surges and spikes. To keep your devices powered during blackouts, brownouts, and sags, six of the outlets deliver power via the 12-volt lead acid sealed battery. In addition to the outlets, the UPS provides three RJ-11 ports to protect phones. It features a compact design, which can be installed horizontally or vertically and is wall mountable.

This power supply is Energy Star qualified with GreenPower UPS Bypass circuitry for reducing energy consumption and heat buildup to help save energy costs. Included with the power supply is the PowerPanel Personal edition UPS management software for Windows systems. This software requires minimal system resources and monitors the status of the UPS to ensure it is working properly. When a power outage does occur, this software automatically saves open files and powers down the system into hibernation mode. When your PC is running in hibernation mode, the power supply will offer a longer runtime.

Automatic Voltage Regulation
AVR boost/buck technology stabilizes the AC voltage by increasing low voltages and decreasing high voltages to maintain a safe voltage level without switching to battery mode. This conserves battery life and delivers cleaner AC power to connected equipment.
Reduce Energy Costs & Heat Loss
This ENERGY STAR qualified UPS system utilizes patented GreenPower UPS Bypass circuitry to save on energy costs by reducing energy consumption and heat buildup.
Quiet UPS
This uninterruptible power supply comes with an efficient design that reduces sound emissions.
EMI/RFI Filters
Shielding against electromagnetic interference and radio frequency signals prevents line noise ("humming") over telephone lines or audio systems.
Transformer-Spaced Outlets
Widely-spaced outlets accommodate large transformer-based plugs without compromising the utility of other outlets.
USB Connectivity
The HID-compliant USB port enables full integration with built-in power management and auto shutdown features of Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X.
Can be mounted horizontally or vertically.
LED Indicators
Status lights for indicating Power On and Wiring Fault.
Audible Alarms
Distinctive tones identify when the unit is running on battery power, if it is overloaded, or when the battery is low.
Resettable Circuit Breaker
Convenient unit reset switch in case of an overload.
PowerPanel Personal Edition for Windows
In event of a power outage, PowerPanel PE saves open files and "hibernates" the PC to increase the runtime on the UPS unit. PowerPanel is easily installed on any Windows-based PC and uses minimal system resources. The diagnostic screen displays the status of the UPS, including silent operation mode, configurable system notifications, automatic self tests, adjustable high/low voltage warnings, event/data logging, and scheduled shutdowns.

    CyberPower 750VA AVR reviews

AVRG750U AVR Series Uninterruptible Power Supply is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from good quality UPS I have computer, monitor , external HD, and directv dvr plugged into it. Handles surges and lags fine. Gives me plenty of time during power outage to shut down the computer gracefully. The only missing is LCD so I can check the status on the device; but you can use cyberpower's Power Panel with usb plugged into ups to check status on computer windows gadget. We have several Cyberpower UPS at the office. They last longer than TripLite, and Belkin; and better value than APC.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Backup Power Source This is a great backup power source. I use it to make sure power interruptions don't shut off the computer or peripherals. Lots of outlets. Six for surge and battery backup, six for just surge protection. This is more than most other units. It's also smaller than most other comparable units. Many backups are nearly as large as a computer unit. This is not. It's more like an oversized power strip. There are some outlets that are spaced away from the other to accommodate larger plugs. Most other units don't have this feature. This unit also has a fantastic price, nearly 40% less that larger units with less outlets and less backup time. After receiving and testing the first unit, I purchased five more. You will not go wrong with this uninterruptible power supply. And B&H is the best retailer to purchase from. B&H shipsquickly. They have no problem with returning/refunding any product you're not satisfied with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good compact size general purpose GPS I use this model for my home computer and another for my large screen TV. Works great in both applications. Has mute button to disable alarm sound if desired. Keep in mind this size UPS is only intended to keep your equipment up for a short time when AC power fails so you can shut things down safely. Maybe 10 - 15 minutes depending on the load. Thereafter if you want things powered up for several hours you need to switch over to either a generator or an inverter powered by a large 100 Amp-Hour SLA battery. Just saying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice power supply and protection unit Purchased this one to replace my APC that failed. Easy to install and like the fact it can be mounted vertical on the wall. The window only software to manage the unit is great too. Nice to be able to see the unit status and even be able to program behavior. I have it for a month now, too early for long term durability but so far so good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy Duty UPS As we have a lot of computer and audio equipmnent in our studio, we needed something with a lot of sockets that would help clean the lines as well as handle spikes and outages. This certainly fits the bill, but be warned, it is HEAVY! Good thing ours just sits on the floor and we don't have to move it ;-)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Robust Feature Set at a Solid Price Point This UPS seems to do the job well, and it has some nice bells and whistles. I used it to set up a 4-camera CCTV system, and it is just right. One caution, though... as with most, the outlets are close together. Might need a jumper cord for transformers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not my first CyberPower UPS I use it to ensure if there is a power loss I have time to shut down my PC. It will also do the same for me if i'm not at home. I have owned a lower power CyberPower UPS previously I had it for nearly 10 years before it bit the dust.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great back up battery Great backup for power outages. Provides uninterrupted power until a generator goes on. Reasonable price.
