Hanwha Techwin SCB-5000 overview

  • 1Description

Samsung's 1280H Analog 1.3MP Box Camera without Lens has a 1/3" CMOS progressive scan sensor that produces 1.3MP resolution images and 1000 TVL video in normal to low light conditions with minimal noise. With a 0.03 Lux Minimum Illumination at f/1.2, this camera allows you to capture color video during the day and black and white video at night. A DC, auto-iris C/CS mount type lens is required, which is not included. Whereas many cameras come with cheaply made plastic glasses lenses, you can opt for a higher-quality, polished glass lens to enhance the quality of this camera's video capture.

Useful for unattended surveillance monitoring security applications, this camera offers motion detection and privacy zone masking. Users can designate motion detecting areas and up to 24 privacy zones. When motion is detected within an area of the image designated by the user, an alarm signal is output via the camera's control interface, alerting surveillance staff to movement. With the privacy zone masking feature, users have the ability to block out unwanted or prohibited areas within a picture.

Purple Fringing Reduction
This camera has built-in purple fringing reduction technology to help reduce out-of-focus purple or magenta ghosting and other chromatic aberrations.
Digital Noise Reduction
This camera's built-in W7 Chip helps to reduce graininess to produce clear and sharp video in low-light conditions.
Tamper Detection
This camera has tamper detection setting as well as an alarm out signal function that can be set up to send video clip alerts via email when the camera's ability to capture video has been impeded. For instance, if a vandal physically attempts to damage or remove the camera or spray paints the lens, you will be notified. In order to implement this feature, this camera should be paired with a compatible DVR that's designed to detect tampering.
Motion Detection
This camera comes with motion detection analytics that alert you anytime movement is detected or pixels suddenly darken. You can set motion detection areas to better distinguish between the actual movements of people, vehicles, or animals and slight inconsequential movements of leaves on trees swaying in the wind.
This camera features an auto and manual defogging function. In Auto mode, the camera will automatically correct the image. In Manual mode, the camera will adjust the definition of the image according to the defogging levels (low, middle or high), set by the user. Users also have the option to turn the defogging feature off.
Privacy Masking
Privacy zone masking can be applied to a monitor to protect privacy. Create up to 24 privacy zones to conceal private objects and areas which are within the camera's range of vision, but not privy to surveillance.

    Hanwha Techwin SCB-5000 reviews

1280H Analog 1.3MP Box Camera without Lens is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from 1280H Analog 1.3MP Box Camera without Le I found the camera to be of high quality for price and size. The resolution is outstanding for the price of the camera, only down fallis it's output is only NTSC,and heat generated, this is not mentioned in the specifications.I would prefer if camera came in PAL format. The electronic night\day setting is fantastic, better than some of the more expensive cameras. All said and done great camera for the price and size
