Can this slider be mounted to two 5/8 c-stands or light stands?
Asked by: michael
Get two of these to mount on the bottom of the slider. Then you can mount on C-Stand. Be sure to use enough sand bags.

question

I want to shoot video of jewelry: macro and ECU & CU with my Nikon d700. I have a steady video tripod. I am wondering if this will work for smooth shots, vertical and horizontal mounting. Also, is there a motor with two or three axis moves avail? This is a two part question. Please share your thoughts and experience. Starting a jewelry photo/video business and have a lot at stake. Thank you mucho!
Asked by: Christopher K.
Kessler is one of the top brands for sliders, you will be able to get a very smooth shots with this unit and it can be set up vertically as well. They also offer motorized units, like the Second Shooter Bundle, that you can use for 3-Axis Motorized Slides.

question

When center mounted on a beefy tripod, does the slider flex at all?
Asked by: Claude
I would not say the slider flexes under the weight of my Sony FS7. I do add a mono pod on either side. Good additional insurance and stability with just a little extra setup.

question

Can this slider be mounted to the Kessler Pocket Jib?
Asked by: Cooper B.
I have the pocket jib traveler, and the stealth slider traveler, both of which are smaller than the ones you are acquiring about. I believe for my pocket jib traveler the weight would be too much unless you had really heavy sticks and a bunch of weights. I believe the hardware would attach to the plate. Be aware that with the sliders I remove the head from my tripod and then attach the sliders directly to the legs. I then attach the ball head to the plate on the sliders. There is a little adapter piece that is a male/male screw that has the 1/8 on one side and the 3/4 (if i remember) on the other. It doesn't come with the sliders, but it is about 10 bucks and I find it invaluable. Hope that helps.
