Canon 1D X Overview

This B&H Kit includes the Canon EOS-1D X DSLR Camera and the Canon PIXMA PRO-100 Wireless Professional Inkjet Photo Printer. This combination allows you to create high-resolution digital images and then produce vivid physical prints. Additionally, this kit also includes a 32GB CompactFlash card, a shoulder bag, wireless remote, and a 50-sheet pack of 13 x 19" photo paper.

The Canon EOS-1D X is a full-frame DSLR that provides an 18.1MP sensor, a large 3.2" rear LCD, as well as 1920 x 1080 video output. Dual DIGIC 5+ Image Processors enable fast image capture at up to 12 fps and up to 14 fps in Super High Speed Mode. Combined with an ISO range of 100-51200 (up to 204800 in H2 mode), high-quality output is possible over a wide range of challenging lighting conditions. 61-Point High-Density Reticular AF coupled with an Offset Array Sensor and a dedicated DIGIC 4 Image Processor help ensure fast focus speed and accuracy so that even the fastest subjects can be easily tracked. These components, along with a shutter that is durability tested to 400,000 cycles are housed within a tough, magnesium-alloy body so that many of Canon's most advanced camera features can be brought into the most demanding shooting conditions.

The Canon PIXMA PRO-100 Wireless Inkjet Photo Printer is a high resolution 4800 x 2400 dpi printer with FINE technology for ink droplets as small as 3 pl. It also has an 8-cartridge ink system for a wide color range and has 3 black inks for getting black-and-white images with an excellent tonal range. Additionally, you can print directly on disks and it has multiple connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or USB. The PRO-100 can handle a wide range of more standard media as well and can print borderless images up to 13 x 19".

Does the 1dx camera have an image stabilization feature on it or is the feature found on the ef lenses?
Asked by: Anonymous
IS only available in Canon lenses, not bodies. Canon claims it tunes its IS specifically for each lens.

question

I purchased the Sandisk Extreme 128GB card for my Canon 1DX(2.0.8 firmware). The image count on top camera display stays at 1999 images as I shoot. Should read 4200+/-. Is this card compatible with the 1DX? Images record fine, just the count is funky. Thanks.
Asked by: Matt V.
I have the same camera. The image count appears to max out at 1999, so if you use a card that holds more than that the count will remain at 1999 until you only have space on the card for 1998 images or less. Then it will start counting down. In the case of your 4200 image card, the image number will remain at 1999 until you've taken 2202 images, at which time it will read 1998.

Is there an after market battery for for the 1DX or are we committed to using the canon brand?

There is BUT I don't believe the camera recognizes a non-Canon battery product and therefore won't or can't monitor the charge level.

question

hello sir my name is shabbir from mumbai india iam using canon1dx for last 2 yrs now it is sawing clean yur lens contact what thus it means n how to do it ? sometime af doen t work pls help me
Asked by: Anonymous
The contacts between the lens and the camera isn't making good contact. What you need to do is 1) Make sure you have a cleaning solution designed for electric contacts. When you have that you remove the lens from the camera. Inside the lens you will see I believe there are eight small copper rectangles. Look at those to see if there are any problems that you can see with them. Then look at the front of the camera body. There should be 8 small copper pins or buttons( Very small) and they should be located about 90 degrees to the left of the red dot on the camera. Look at those contacts to see if there are any problems . If not then take your cleaning solution and clean those small copper pins but be very gentle with your cleaning. Also you can clean those rectangles in the lens. wipe contacts dry or allow to dry before putting the lens back in the camera. Make sure that the cleaning solution dries without leaving any residue on the contacts. It should work if the contacts are clean and no other problem exists. Remember to be extremely gentle when you are cleaning the contacts because you do not want to scratch or damage the contact while cleaning them.
