Wi-Ex TRIO HOHO overview

  • 1Description

Boost your Verizon phone's 4G LTE signal and reduce dropped and missed calls with the zBoost TRIO SOHO Signal Booster from Wi-Ex. This booster uses an outdoor antenna to capture the reliable cellular signal you have outdoors and rebroadcasts it indoors so you can enjoy clearer, faster and more reliable service without interruption. It can provide enhanced reception to areas up to 2,500 ft2 and can be used by multiple devices at once. This device has been approved by Verizon and other major carriers. If you do not use Verizon, please check with your carrier to find out whether this device is approved on your network.

The TRIO SOHO also improves voice and text reception for users of most major carriers, not only Verizon. It will boost the 2G and 3G signals for any GSM or CDMA carrier that use 850 MHz or 1900 MHz frequencies. It reduces power use by your phone's CEL, PCS, and LTE antennas, extending the phone's battery life. The zBoost TRIO SOHO includes all hardware necessary to mount the antenna, as well as 50' of RG6 cable to connect the antenna to the base station. The base station can be wall-mounted, and the adjustable antenna allows it to be placed in a variety of locations.

Note: Before use, you must register this device with your wireless provider and have your provider's consent. Most wireless providers consent to the use of signal boosters. AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon and 90 additional carriers have already given consent for all consumers to use this device. Some providers may not consent to the use of this device on their network. If you are unsure, contact your provider.

    Wi-Ex TRIO HOHO reviews

zBoost TRIO SOHO 4G Cell Phone Signal Booster (Verizon) is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent signal booster I can only say that this was a very good investment for our cell phones. I highly recommend it. We were getting dropped calls every time we use our Verizon cell phones until we got this. We went from no bars of 1X in the house to 3-4 bars of 4G all the time. It's too bad Verizon can't give us this type of signal without having to buy something else. None of the cell phone services offer the type of coverage they claim in their adds. We actually have better signal in the house than we do outside now. It works through walls, even though it said it wouldn't. It works anywhere in the house, about 2,500 square feet. It was very easy to setup. The only draw back I can find is that they need to make the ends on the cable where you can take them off and shorten the cable. It's too long for where we mounted it so we have extra cable to contend with and if I wanted to shorten it I would have to go buy my own end because this one is crimped on but I still recommend it if you need a great signal for your phone in your house, especially if you have the new metal roofing like we do. B&H shipped it very fast and had the best price anywhere on line. We have bought from them for years now and they have always been the best, with the lowest prices.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Buy This thing works. I was a little surprised and unhappy that you have to have a MINIMUM of 15' VERTICAL feet of separation for it to work. had to make my mast higher than i wanted but no huge deal.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not work Installed just as the directions detailed. Constant red light indicating signal overload. Was told by tech support that a directional antenna was needed and they sent one out. Tried for several hours remounting directional in different areas and slowly turning 360 degrees, still had signal overload. Was then told by tech support that I now need to block the sides of the antenna with steel plate. Not worth the price and now I have more hours in the job than I even bid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great signal booster I had service that was spotty and slow at best. Usually the best I could get in the house was 3G in the right spot of the house. After installing the zBoost with sufficient vertical separation my service on the house is better than outside. I have the receiving antenna high in my attic (not mounted outside) and the repeater down on the floor. I now receive great LTE service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get them before they are gone! I owned a previous Zboost model and upgraded to this one. First, I can say that these work amazing. With the above model, I have boosted Verizon to 5 bars and AT&T (band 2 and band 12) to 5 bars. I live in a very rural setting, and do not get reliable 4G LTE or cell service without a Zboost. To that point, I am saying I get 1 bar or less of 1x and 4G LTE Verizon and 2 bars of AT&T LTE without using the Zboost. In order to get the most out of your Zboost, you really must upgrade the cabling to RG58 A/U. This is twisted pair coax and it makes a big difference reducing signal loss. My cable is ~ 100 feet. The cable that comes with the unit is really not something I would recommend. Also do not mix cabling. It will make the unit useless. Further, I upgraded the antenna to the high gain directional antenna. That is it. Zboost was recently bought out by Wilson and it is a shame that they will likely be phased out. These Zboost signal boosters are inexpensive and work amazing. The first ZBoost I bought in 2011 and it was still working. I purchased this one because it includes more bands. If you live somewhere where you have low LTE or cell phone... Buy this now and install it correctly. You will not be disappointed. Also, the Verizon model works amazing with ATT. 5 bars and 35Mbps ATT downloads with and 7Mbps and 2 bars without.
