The HDMI Extender over CAT5e/6 with Audio, Serial Control & Ethernet from KanexPro is a transmitter and receiver set that allows you to send ultraHD signals up to 330' away over a single CAT5e/6 cable using HDBaseT Technology. The extender supports Power over Ethernet from either the transmitter or the receiver unit. The transmitter has LAN accessibility through an Ethernet port, and can route Internet to two Ethernet jacks on the receiver for PC, media player, or Smart TV connectivity. An HDMI loop provides access to a local monitor. The extender is fully compliant with HDCP specifications and supports EDID management for resolution output up to ultra HD 4K, 1080p/60 & 3D.

The extender units are housed within aircraft grade aluminum enclosures and are designed for mounting behind flat-panel TVs or over-the-ceiling structures. Locking HDMI and power connectors protect the unit from signal loss. Applications include Digital Signage, Corporate AV, classroom technology, and government applications requiring routing of ultra HD signals up to 330̍ over a single STP CAT6a cable as well as power over Ethernet to the receiver side of the extender.

Note: Do not use couplers between the RJ-45/CAT6 cables to avoid degradation. To reduce video dropout problems from lightings, ceiling fans, and other EMI issues, it is strongly recommended that you terminate shielded STP CAT6 or CAT5e cables and use shielded RJ45 connectors with KanexPro extender products.
