Lexar 16GB SDHC Overview

The 16GB Professional 1000x UHS-II SDHC Memory Card from Lexar features a storage capacity of 16GB and takes advantage of the UHS-II bus to support advanced DSLR functions such as continuous shutter bursts and rapid shooting, as well as raw and JPEG captures. This card is also well-suited for video capture, including 4K, 3D, and Full HD video, and can achieve maximum read speeds of up to 150 MB/s and maximum write speeds of up to 40 MB/s. Thanks to its U3 speed class rating, minimum write speeds are guaranteed not to drop below 30 MB/s.

UHS-II media achieves its speed through an extra row of pins and while this card has been designed for cameras that are UHS-II / U3 compatible, it may be used in devices that do not support UHS-II or U3. However, bear in mind that this card will then default to your device's speed class and bus rating, such as UHS-I and U3. If your device does not support U3, this card is compatible with the U1 and Class 10 standards, each of which guarantees minimum write speeds of 10 MB/s.

To help protect against accidental file deletion, there is a built-in write protect switch. To further safeguard against possible data loss, users can download free Image Rescue software that is designed to recover most photo and video files.

This is the second Lexar SD card I have purchased over the past 6 months and both have failed! Granted, the first one was my fault, I bent it slightly and the board cracked. So, lesson learned, even the slightest bending of this card will crack it. So, I bought a second one and shot 8 gigs of photos over a two hour period. When I tried to retrieve the photos using a card reader, I get a message that the card needs to be initialized. When I put it back in the camera, I get a formatting error. I have not reformatted the card in hopes I can retrieve the images.

I have a Nikon D750 and have used Lexar 32GB and 64GB 1000x 150MB/s Have used lightroom to download pictures and video as the Nikon has 2 cards one for j-peg and video and the other card for NEF you can choose. and then I put them into PICTURES or VIDEOS in Windows 10. I also have a SONY point and shoot CYBER-shot which has full HD movie and 20x zoom this camera is quite a few years old but takes excellent movies. To edit the movies I use PHOTODEX PRO SHOW PRODUCER, and to answer your question no I don't get flicker. Hope this answers some of your questions Cheers Ross
