    Lexar 128GB UHS-II SDXC reviews

128GB Professional 1000x UHS-II SDXC Memory Card (Class 10, UHS Speed Class 3) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 110.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Slow write speeds, unreliable card I purchased this card to use in the Sony A7III thinking it would be fast enough. The 150MBs is only Read, where Write is about 80MBs, and I'm only getting about 55-60MBs using a UHS-II Lexar reader. The bigger problem though, is that this card has proven to be very unreliable with the A7III and the 5DIV. Often I'll get errors in both cameras where I can't use it. I have to keep ejecting and reinserting the card, sometimes up to 10 times before it registers with the cameras properly. Lexar used to be a top-tier memory card manufacturer, but since the brand was sold to Longsys (China) the quality is gone. There are better cards for the money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as fast as the SanDisk 95mbs in D610 Great for the casual user, not great for the sports/concert photographer if you have a full-frame Nikon D610 Shooting 14-bit compressed RAW at CH (6 fps): The Lexar 1000x shoots just a little faster than 1 fps with a full buffer (taking 36 photos in 15 seconds). Flimsy feeling card. SanDisk 633x 95mbs can shoot almost 2 fps with a full buffer (taking 42 photos in 15 seconds). Solid feeling card.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Replacement for Failed Card This memory card is a replacement for the same card that failed the first time I used it on a week-long vacation. Luckily it failed on the last day, and my camera has a backup CF card. This does concern me about the reliability of the two 128 GB Lexar cards I am currently depending on, although I do have other Lexar cards that have never had problems. Hoping this one was a fluke. At the same time, B&H Photo Customer Support gets high marks for making the exchange as smooth and painless as possible. With a simple and short phone call they gave me a UPS shipping label and RMA authorization to replace the card without further expense on my part.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stick with Sandisk! Though I liked the speed provided by this card, it's durability is definitely a huge minus. I owned 2 128G cards and both have now completely failed. One due to the flimsy workmanship, the other just failed to be recognized for no fathomable reason. Fortunately, didn't lose any footage and feeling fortunate for that. Going back to the my go to card from another well known manufacturer that I've owned more than twice as long as the Lexar cards and with 10 times as many hours of video recorded on it. Two stars is generous and owes strictly to the speed it added to 4K video workflow. Dependability is more valuable and economical than speed for my business.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lexar Professional UHS-II is the only card for 4K video 128GB Professional 1000x UHS-II SDXC Card by Lexar is fast, reasonably priced and works faultlessly for my Sony A7RII recording 4K video. This card is my second Lexar UHS-II card after buying the Lexar UHS-II 64GB card. Before buying the 128GB card, I made a mistake by using a UHS-I SDXC card to record 4K video after my Lexar USH-II 64 GB was full. The UHS-I card will record only 90 seconds and stop when the buffer was full with a error message ...UHS-II card not in slot.... I lost a lot of important footage having to reboot camera after each error message. If you have a 4K camera, do yourself a favor and get this card, you will be a happy shooter like me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fast Enough This item has a great price for a 128GB SDXC card. It's all 1000x which basically means 150MB/s. I tested this card with a Lexar USB 3.0 card reader. I ran the Black Magic Speed Disk Test on it. For sustained writes I got around 70MB/s. For sustained reads I got around 80MB/s. It's not the fastest card I've ever had but it's fast enough for most things. Good thing is that this card is rated at UHS Class 3. This means that it's minimum write speed is 30MB/s. That's exactly what you need if you are recording high speed HD content. All in all, this is a pretty good buy. We'll find out what it's reliability is like.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Buy For the Money Bought this along with my Nikon D7200 and use it as my primary card. My friends laugh at me because 128 GB is over-kill. But I love it. Gives you peace of mind when you are out shooting that you will not run out of space. Shooting JPEG at Fine I had about 5,300 photo capacity, and RAW had about 2,000 photo capacity. I am going on a trip soon, and will feel confident shooting as many photos and videos as I want each day between uploads. I was worried that this card may not be compatible with my D7200 since the card was UHS Speed Class-II and the camera was only rated for UHS Speed Class-I. No problems so far! Very fast card with no problems writing or uploading data. No complaints so far. 09-16-2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent stuff As the happy owner for two years now of an equivalent 128GB Lexar Professional SD card, only slower (400x) I have to make the statement that this issue is proportionally faster. Easy test: snap 20 or so pictures with your high performance camera, then watch the rate at which they get transferred from the camera buffer to the SD card, as the camera displays the growing number of pictures that the camera becomes able to fill its buffer again with. That ratio went up from roughly 1.5 seconds to definitely less than a second, perhaps as quick as two pictures per second.
