    Epson P600 reviews

SureColor P600 Inkjet Printer is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 393.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from stopped working after 1 year warranty expired I'm very disappointed that 14 months after purchasing this printer, I'm starting to have problems. It continues to not recognize ink cartridges even though they are more than half way full and were purchased from epson. I called epson but since the warranty expired, they can't do anything. I've run nozzle checks, brush cleanings, etc,. I would like to know why Epson told me it expired this year in MAY when I purchased it on this website in July of 2015. Either way, according to my serial number, they have it expiring 2 months prior. I just need a photo printer that works. I feel like I was given a lemon.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Software Update and some other stuff I print mostly on canvas and the prints come out very nice. When I first got the printer, I had trouble getting it to print. I called Tech Support and the problem was that I was using an older version of Photoshop (CS3) which did not have the proper setup to print on the P600. I am running Windows 10 and the photo program that came with it worked fine. I am now using Adobe Creative Cloud with the latest version of Photoshop and Lightroom. Everything works fine. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I had to call tech support. Somewhere in their setup manual, they need to mention that older versions of photo editing software may not work with the printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good successor to 7600 Bought this to replace 7600 (I no longer print anything larger than 13x19). So far, I'm amazed at the results. Quality may be even better than 7600. Printing with manual feed, one sheet at a time, not high speed, Velvet and Hot Press Natural papers. For color, I have Photoshop managing colors; for b&w, I have printer manage colors. That printer software for b&w works very well; nice neutral tone; deep blacks. Getting the loading procedure down is a bit tricky but I'll get used to it. I am using the same pre--printing adjustments in Photoshop that I formerly used for the 7600 (a little brightening plus a slight shift in color balance), and these adjustments work fine on the P600.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from P600 This is my 3rd Epson printer, the first was a consumer multi task printer. The second was the Photo 2200. I loved the 2200 but finally wore it out, btw it paid for itself on first use. Before buying the P600 I did a lot of research, criticism was out there that it was slow, that is completely false. These newer generation of printers are way faster than older pro models. Quality is excellent on all material I have tested so far, and quiet. I really like the way it has folding feed and exit chutes the seal it up from dust when not in use. This was a problem on older models. I highly recommend this printer. I have done professional photography for 35 + yrs

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good 13-inch printer I've been using the P600 for a couple of months now and have put it through its paces. It is working flawlessly and produces excellent color and black and white prints. To get the most from this high-quality printer, you should (1)calibrate your display, (2)download the printer/paper profiles from the paper manufacturer, and, (3) when printing, select the option that allows your print editing application (such as Photoshop) to manage color and not the printer. The only complaint I have about the printer is that it uses up ink cartridges pretty fast; but, I do a lot of printing, so I guess that's to be expected. On the whole, I highly recommend this printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Support I've had my P600 for less than a couple of months. I've been very happy with its print output quality. What I'm most happy with, though, is the treatment I got from their Customer Service Department. A paper jam led to damage that left the printer inoperable. I called an 800 number and got right through to a guy who asked me what had happened and tried to solve the problem over the phone. Once he determined that the machine was physically broken, he ordered an overnight shipment of a replacement. Due to the weekend, it didn't make it overnight, but it did come promptly. I'm very pleased with being treated that way.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wonderful printer but... It took at least a week to get it to accept the paper to print the first print. I followed the directions exactly but no matter how careful I was, I had to re-feed the paper a minimum of twelve times to get it to print once. I finally looked up how to turn off the skew sensor. Now it's hit or miss whether it prints or doesn't. When it does, the resulting prints are excellent and it's the only reason I bother to try to figure out how to make it work. I've had the printer now going on three months. It's not easy to use. Would I recommend this printer for someone else? Not unless they had the patience of a saint. I think Epson has to make it more user friendly before I'd recommend it to anyone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice but still has bugs Very nice machine but it still has bugs with the interface, which makes no sense since the interface seems to be exactly like my Stylus Pro 9900. I had to call tech support for assistance to print a borderless 5x7 print, which as a current owner of a much larger machine was surprising. They did help but they told me now when printing you have to go to the layout page and select the paper output size which on my other machine you do not have to do. Also, if you do not do these steps in the certain order it reverts back to the default. Therefore this is not a simple machine for the average person to use. I am sure that this will be fixed but very disappointing since it seems like a simple code issue.
