Version 3 of the DECIMATOR MD-QUAD 3G/HD/SD-SDI Quad Split Multi-Viewer with SD/HD/3G-SDI & HDMI Outputs adds a test pattern generator, audio tone generator, audio channel pass through, and on-screen display on an optional connected monitor. The device provides you with an SD/HD/3G-SDI quad splitter or multiplexer. It features four auto detecting SDI inputs, and outputs to an SDI and an HDMI output.

Each input is independent and features low latency buffering, which allows the device to display all four inputs on an optional monitor screen simultaneously, even when each input signal is a different format or frame rate. The output signal also supports different aspect ratios being displayed on the screen of your monitor's SDI or HDMI input. A rotary encoder and push button selector allows you to navigate and select from the menu option without setting DIP switches or connecting to a computer. The menu function allows you to select your output format, and a locking power socket minimizes the chance of power loss by a kick out of the power cable.

Note:
Firmware Release 2.0.6 adds 3G-SDI Level B support for 1080p60/59.94/50 for this model, as well as the ability to set the SDI output to 3G level A or B and convert between level A and B. It also enables horizontal and vertical image flipping per window, and adds custom layout features that move this model from a fixed window quad-split to a customizable 1-to-4 channel multi-viewer.

Updates from the previous version include:
  • In Quad-Split mode the first 8-channels of audio from any input can now be passed to both the HDMI and SDI output
  • On-screen audio id pop-up when selection audio source in Quad-Split mode
  • On-screen display pop-up when using the rotary encoder allows you to adjust the device's settings requiring a PC

Could I use this product for a video wall of three monitors? I would like to be able to display a 1x3 video on these monitors at 1080P resolution for each monitor.
Asked by: Kelly
Dear Kelly, This is Jules from product support at Symbiosis, Decimator's master distributor for your region. The MD-Quad has four 3G-SDI inputs, one 3G-SDI output and one HDMI output. Both outputs carry the same picture at the same format. You wouldn't be able to drive three monitors with different tiles of your source to produce a video wall. The MD-Quad effectively works the other way round to take up to four inputs and put them onto one monitor. I hope this helps but if you have any questions please feel free to contact us on [email protected] Kind Regards Jules
