Peaking

Peaking highlights the sharpest (most in focus) areas of the image with a color outline. The monitor features two modes, monochrome, and color. The monochrome mode shows the image in black and white with the red peaking outline and the color peaking mode shows the image in color with a red peaking outline.

False Color

The False Color feature provides under/over luminance warning by presenting the image as a series of color values representing exposure.

Histogram

The Histogram provides a graphic depiction of how many pixels in your image are at each level between black and white. This provides you exposure information so you can objectively judge how much of your image is clipping, falling into the shadows, or being captured faithfully.

1:1 Pixel Mode

1:1 pixel-to-pixel mapping allows you to look at parts of your image without any scaling, so you can see the actual detail and not be fooled by scaling artifacts.

H/V Delay

This mode allows you to see the video signal outside the active picture area. Settings include Off, H/V Delay, H Delay, and V Delay.

Underscan/Overscan

Allows you to display an image with lower resolution than the screen with either a black border around the image or fill the screen entirely.

Not impressed with this product and Lilliput support

Bought to use as reference monitor on film/tv production. Worked fine for a week then started having signal loss problems with sdi input, Lilliput told me to reset factory settings, this didn't work, had to send in, they replaced mother board and back of monitor, worked for about hour then same issue of loss of signal occurred. After much harangue sent back to B&H for refund.

Great monitor for the price! Sharp picture and the visor maybe a little cheap, but works really well and protects the screen when you close it.

We're using this on our Sony D50 video camera's. One of the Sony monitors died, and Sony no longer supports them. This is a great color monitor. It was easy to connect using standard BNC cables. Note: This monitor comes with a standard 1/4 hot shoe mount, so you don't need to buy one. I wish that had been listed under what's in the box on the B&H website. Would have save me $17, but in our line of work you always want to have a spare anyway.

I bought this purely to use as an additional monitor to check framing. Poor focus assist and resolution. Would not recommend for AC use.

Asked by: Gerald M.
Yes you can. This monitor has Component and Composite inputs that you can use with the Panasonic HMC150. However the connections on this monitor are BNC. You will need RCA to BNC adapters as well, B&H # HOABMRF.https://bhpho.to/2tR3CIm

question

The specs list this as 250cd/m^2 brightness - is this enough when paired with the sunshade?
Asked by: Asgeir Stavik
We have been using the monitor in the studio and I am considering it for night football games as well. It is plenty bright for studio use but have not used it outside. The construction is quite light weight (and that may stop me from using it outside the studio) but the price point and image quality for my uses have been outstanding.
