The charcoal black Star-Light DWC-V4363TIRB Snapit Vandal True Day/Night IR Dome Camera with 3.3-12mm Varifocal Lens (NTSC) from Digital Watchdog features a 1/3" CCD sensor that captures clear images in a resolution of up to 600 TVL (color) and 620 TVL (B&W). It features IR cut filter mechanism that allows recording in color with illumination levels as low as 0.14 lux. This true day/night camera switches to night mode and records in black-and-white at 0 lux illumination. The camera's Smart IR feature divides the video image into five zones for an even distribution of the IR light preventing excessive illumination of near-field reflective objects.

The camera is powered by Star-Light technology, which offers low light imaging for almost any application. Along with Smart DNR, Star-Light technology offers a slow shutter feature that increases the length of time the shutter remains open to collect additional ambient light, illuminating typically dark environments. Smart 3D-DNR technology provides clearer images by reducing video noise using specially designed algorithms. It cleans electronic noise signals that reduce the clarity of the image and effect motion detection settings with various recording technology.

The camera incorporates HME (Highlight Masking Exposure) technology that detects and masks any strong spots of light to produce a clear image in virtually any environment. HME is particularly effective for reading license plates of cars in streets or parking lots at night. When privacy is a concern, monitoring can be masked in certain zones within the scene; you can define up to eight rectangular zones.

The vandal dome camera comes encased in an easy-to-install Snapit housing that comes with a built-in junction box. The Snapit housing features built-in UTP and RS-485, and is IP68 NEMA certified for protection against dust and immersion.
