The 111354Q 108 x 144" Signature/Series E Ceiling-Recessed Screen from Draper has an independently motorized ceiling closure that disappears into the case when the screen is lowered. This provides for a completely unobstructed view while you're projecting onto the screen. The hinges are also completely concealed, and the entire length of the closure is supported, preventing sagging of the components. The white aluminum case is UL-listed for use in environmental air space.
The quiet motor on this screen operates at a reduced noise level of 44 dB, which is approximately 30% less than the standard motor. Quiet motors are ideal in settings where noise reduction is important, such as in a library or house of worship. An included 3-position wall switch allows for operating the screen, and has buttons for up, stop, and down.
As the name implies, Glass Beaded CH3200E has spherical glass beads embedded in the surface to provide a bright image, within a narrow viewing cone of 26°. There is a slight loss of clarity in projected images. The surface is retroreflective, so Draper recommends that the projector and screen are both positioned at approximately the same height. As a member of Draper's OptiView family of surfaces, Glass Beaded CH3200E is self-supporting and doesn't require tensioning, thanks to its fiberglass base with PVC laminate. This surface can be used in rooms where ambient light cannot be adequately controlled. Black backing helps control ambient light coming from behind the screen. The surface has a gain of 3.2 at 0°, and its half-gain angle is 13°. The surface can be cleaned with a dry brush or cloth. The surface is also flame-retardant to NFPA-701 standards.
