Does your camera have what Sony calls a multi interface hot shoe .I have that feature on my Rx100ii and the flash works great. You might try to find a review of your camera and see if the reviewer mentions the type of compatible external flash for your cameras hot shoe.

question

Have Sony NEX-6 with 18-200 zoom lens. Will the long lens cast a shadow with this flash?
Asked by: Edward J.
I have an A7 with a 24-240 lens. If I am using a flash I usually use it in bounce mode so no shadow. If I use it a direct mode I'm usually shooting at 55mm or so focal length. I do not get a shadow. I've never used a flash with the lens fully extended.
