    Yamaha APXT2 Reviews

APXT2 3/4-Size Thinline Acoustic/Electric Cutaway Guitar (Natural) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little guitar! Bought this for Christmas for my 7yo daughter, who has been asking me to learn to play for a while now. I chose between this and the Fender MA-1 and came out with the Yamaha based on my experience with my APX700 thinline acoustic, which is very playable and has a great sound. It'll be a while before we use the built-in pickup for playing plugged-in, but the onboard tuner is a nice feature. The little guitar is the perfect size for a younger kid just learning to play, and I've been very pleased with it's playability and sound. Construction is good, the included gig bag is a great addition, pretty much everything about the guitar exceeds my expectations. The only thing I'd mention as even close to a negative is the tuners - they hold tune very well and have a good feel when tightening the string, but when loosening there is some noticeable play/slack before they engage and then it's a big step down so you generally have to tune back up slightly. But as I said, they hold tune well once you get it dialed in, so it's not a big deal just a minor annoyance. Overall, a great instrument and worth the $$ price it's listed at.
