The Intelix Liberty DigitaLinx Twin Category Cable HDMI 1.4 Receiver is the receiving end of the DigitaLinx Media Converter HDMI over category cable extension system. This system is applicable in large rooms and similar installations because it allows an HDMI signal to be transmitted over longer distances than traditional HDMI cables allow. This system can also accept and transmit DVI signals when a DVI to HDMI converter is used. As the receiver, this unit converts the transmitted signal back into a conventional HDMI signal for connecting to a display. Also on the receiver is a DC input for the power supply which powers the unit as well as the transmitter when connected via ethernet cable. Cat6 cables are recommended for best performance, especially when distances between the transmitter and receiver exceed 100'.
