The Oben AC-1461 Aluminum Tripod is a camera support that extends to 66" with its center column fully extended and folds down to 20.5" for transport. Flip locks on the 4-section legs facilitate rapid setup and break down. Three leg angles (24°, 55°, and 80°) are available via angle adjustment tabs at the joint of each leg.

The center column is adjustable with a twist of the butterfly knob and can be split in two to use as a short column for macro and low angle shooting as low as 6.5" from the ground. With the center column reversed, you can place your camera at ground level. Any combination of leg angles can be combined to accommodate uneven terrain, stairs or obstructions. A built-in bubble level helps you align your composition. For extra stability, you can hang weight from a spring-loaded ballast hook on the center column. A strap mount enables attachment of an optional shoulder strap, and a foam leg grip adds comfort when carrying.

AC-1461 Aluminum Tripod is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good value for money I purchased this tripod along with a Manfrotto head as sort of an upgrade from the combo I started out with when switching from point-&-shoot to DSLR. So far - I have been using it for a couple of weeks now - I am satisfied, it seems to be sturdy and good value for money. Besides budget limitations, I mainly got this particular tripod because of its maximum height (I am 6'3) and the load capacity, which allows sufficient flexibility when using a super telephoto lens. As I am not a pro-photographer I did not care much about the weight. I mainly use the tripod for landscape and blue hour / night photography.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong, stable and easy to use. I know I'm shaky so I always use a tripod. In the past I've always gotten the BEST cheap tripods and I went through a lot of tripods. Their joints would become loose and parts would fall off. Long story short, I got what I paid for. Oben and B&H make it easy to select the right tripod for you. I needed something with a minimum height yet also fit in my carry-on bag. I leave it attached to the camera and it's comfortable to carry by the camera's shoulder strap.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stability and value This tripod has been fantastic. Granted I haven't been in Arctic winds with it but I'm pretty sure those people that would be in those extreme situations would have extreme equipment- not this. However for those of us in the real world this is a great, stable aluminum tripod. It has smooth movement and is actually taller than I need most of the time. The length comes in handy however when on an incline and you need to shorten 2 legs and lengthen one to keep the tripod level. This tripod has a hook on the center extension part which I usually hang my camera bag on when it's windy out - it is quite robust! I've had this tripod on the beach on a cold day with heavy winds, winds strong enough that were pushing me, a 250lb man with the gusts, when I weighted this tripod I was able to take long exposures and they came out sharp!! This was my ultimate test for me to determine whether I wanted to keep the tripod and if it was going to work for me- it passed. Only thing I add is that if you don't need the height then the 2 part extension leg version might be better or quicker to setup and take down and more stable-though in my use that is debatable. I use a ballhead on mine and have had my d7100 with an 80-200 f/2.8af d hanging off with absolutely no trouble and that is a very front heavy lens and my version is not the lens tripod collar version. I rated this product 4 stars as I'm sure a lighter carbon fiber version with less leg extensions would be better (at massively more money) but for the price and it's performance it is stellar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tripod A little wobbly with all segments extended, but it is tall enough they are usually not all needed. Great otherwise.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Three stars only Advantage: nice and light Disadvantage: too much plastic that usually doesn't last too long Next time, I am going to stick with Manfroto products. They are heavier but you don't have to worry about any breakage. So far I got 2 Manfroto tripods and 1 monopod for over 7 years; never ever had any problem with them. I definitely couldn't say that about Oben AC-1461 aluminum tripod that feels more like a toy. Sorry, Oben.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good doesn't have to be expensive I got this tripod because I needed something sturdy for my 150 to 600 lens. I especially like the 3 position leg settings as well as being able to take off the center column. So far I think very good try pod. I am pleased with my purchase

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality for money! Purchased this tripod with a Manfrotto 3-Way pan tilt head and very happy with the result. Strong heavy construction and easy to setup and use.
