I needed a short cable for charging Micro USB devices. This Scosche FlatOut is only about 10 inches long and it is flat, so it doesn't clutter my counter or get tangled with other cables . It is convenient and I believe unique in that the Micro USB connector is reversible and can be plugged into devices in either orientation. Most of the time I can't read the markings on other connectors, so plugging them in is by "trial and error". Not so, with this FlatOut cable. Kudos! It also features color-coded lights in the connector, so one can confirm from a distance when the cable is in fact operating (orange pulsing light) and when charging is complete (blue constant light). Pretty cool. It also seems well made, and is available in black, as well as white. I recommend it for anyone needing a short USB charging cable for Micro USB devices.
