Capture and save valuable video files with Transcend's DrivePro 200 Wi-Fi Dash Camera. It utilizes a 3MP CMOS low-light sensitive image sensor to capture 1920 x 1080 high-res video at 30 fps, for playback to the on-board 2.4" color LCD screen, TV or computer. A built-in microphone can capture cabin audio, or it can be disabled to protect passenger privacy or to conserve memory. The camera generates its own Wi-Fi signal to directly connect it to an enabled Android or iOS device with the free app installed. Users can view, download, and share saved files using their mobile device. This makes sharing scenic views on social media faster, and can expedite police reports or insurance claims. Users can also delete videos and change camera settings.

Recording begins automatically when the unit is turned on, and automatically overwrites the oldest unprotected files first. Video is saved to the microSD slot that supports cards up to 128GB - a 16GB card is included with the camera. You can manually mark a file with overwrite protection, and if an accident is detected, the current file plus the ten seconds immediately before and 50 seconds after the incident are automatically protected. An auxiliary RCA video-out port and included cable can be used to view files on a TV or monitor.

DrivePro 200 Wi-Fi Dash Camera is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from works like it should The camera does what it should: video the drive. It's field of view is wide enough to record from about 9:30 to 2:30 position. The clarity is good enough, but unless the vehicle is right in front of you, you won't be able to read the license plate. Still, the video is good. Occasionally, I want to use this camera on my tailgate to help when I hitch up the camper so the live stream was important to me. The Android app is very glitchy. Useless for live streaming. It just won't live stream. The Apple app works good, a little slow, but it works. Good enough if I take my time aligning the hitch. BTW, when used as a rear camera, the image is reversed. BH doesn't sell the suction cup mount which I suggest you get.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I Probably Have a Lemon I bought this for the fundamental purpose of being a dash camera. However, the cool WiFi and Bluetooth features don't work. I've spent too much time trying to get them to work and finally gave up because I really don't care much about them. The video quality is good, but once loaded on a computer, it would be nearly impossible to zoom in to see a license plate if the car was more than four car lengths ahead of you. This really is best suited for recording things leading up to an accident (as long as it's in front of you) and for recording a scenic drive. As it was only $, I'm not going to go through the hassle of boxing up and returning because it fundamentally does what I want it to do.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well with unreliable wi-fi I bought this camera from B&H and a the suction cup mount from another website. Getting both to work took less than a minute. The image quality is pretty good, though the barrel distortion is high. This part is 4 stars. My Nexus 5 showed solid wi-fi connection to the camera. But the Android app could rarely make a connection. This part is 1 star.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My 2nd Transcend Dash Cam and Still No Luck This is my second Transcend dash cam. I decided to try this camera when I discovered that the DrivePro 100 that I tried first was defective. When video on the DrivePro 200 is recorded in 3 minute increments, it is choppy during playback and will eventually freeze up, and it does this on every file. I changed the settings to record in 1 minute increments and this seemed to solve the problem. I emailed Transcend and they suggested upgrading the firmware. I followed the instructions but the camera would not recognize the firmware file. The camera is well-made and records clear video, it's just too bad that I can't record in increments longer than 1 minute. For that reason, I have given it 3 stars and will be returning it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I expected Easy install, up and running in less than 5 minutes. Really comes in handy around where I live as people are prone to run stop signs and red lights. Wish I had it before when I was sideswiped in heavy traffic. Yes I would definitely recommend this unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good Great for the price. Picture is better than expected. Night time not bad either.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Reliability & Heat Resistance. Bad Night Quality. The Transcend 200 would be my pick for anyone looking for heat resistance & dependability on a budget. Unfortunately at night it looks quite terrible. If you are looking for better video quality at a similar price I would pick up the A118-C or the G1W if you're on a budget.Using the camera is quite easy but like many other cameras the audible notifications are useless. Upon startup it chimes even if there are problems lulling you into a sense of security. On cameras such as the Garmin 20 it beeps only when your camera starts recording.I made a video comparing this camera to the Garmin 20 and Papago 200. capacitors for better heat resistance-2 Year Warranty-Long 12' cable. Robust. -Well designed menu & navigation-Helpful WiFi connection to transfer and watch videos-Can be turned to face the side window-Great user manual, comprehensive, simple, useful diagrams. Cons:-Video is bad at night, loses a lot of detail compared to Papago and other budget cameras-Shiny, unremovable chrome ring-Audible notifcations don't let you know if your camera is working. However, warnings are bigger and last longer than Papago. -No USB cable or SD reader. Have to buy your own or use the wifi app. -Time and date resets if the camera isn't used for a few days.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible camera! This product is absolutely horrible! I live in California and it took less than 5 months for the heat to destroy this camera, even though it's supposed to be heat-resistant. I can only imagine what would happen if I lived somewhere hotter like Nevada or Arizona... Besides the short life time of the camera, the warranty is not all that great. After I returned the item, since it died well before the warranty expired, I received a 'new' camera in the mail. Unbeknownst to me, this camera had another set of problems. Not all the video files could be opened and the files that were able to be opened, had loud static noise every few seconds. I updated the firmware running v2.3 and tried two different memory cards, and still no improvement. My suspicion is that they shipped me a replacement from one of their batches that didn't pass QC instead of sending me one that passed all required tests. Save yourself the headache.
