Microsoft Lync 2013 is a downloadable communications software tool that provides services for reaching out to co-workers and contacts in a multitude of different ways. These services include audio and video conferencing, Instant Messaging, and Voice over Internet Protocol calls. Lync 2013 is more visual and allows you to communicate in ways that are easy and efficient, helping you to be more productive. It combines your voice and video calls, Lync Meetings, and instant messaging in one place. This makes it simple to choose and switch between the different forms of communication. Lync 2013 lets you communicate using a network connection, or over the Internet with other Lync or Skype users. With Lync 2013, you can use the touch features of a touch-enabled PC to communicate with your colleagues.
Lync 2013 helps you stay in contact with co-workers and friends with Chat Rooms. Set up a chat room with different privacy levels, and create topic feeds so you will be notified when specific words are mentioned. Lync 2013 allows you to view and record multiple people at the same time in HD during a Lync Meeting video conference. PC and Mac users that do not have Lync 2013 can still join Lync Meetings from a browser. They can interact within the meeting with features that include Instant Messages, VOIPs, and HD videos, as well as desktop, application, and PowerPoint sharing. Lync 2013 enables you to sign in to more than one device at the same time so that your co-workers and contacts can communicate with you on your computer, tablet, and smartphone.
