Enabling you to create vivid, dynamic, and surreal effects with your photographs, this DVD version of Topaz Glow from Topaz Labs LLC is a unique image editor that can produce imagery with distinct neon edges, glowing highlights, and simulate the appearance of painting on your photographs with luminescent ink. Over 70 one-click effects are available and are separated into six distinct collections for easy access to a range of creative effects. Beyond the range of preset looks, each effect can further be customized by adjusting brightness, color, spread, and blending modes, and then these changes can be saved as presets for re-applying your own personally developed looks. Enhanced processing and accelerated GPU technologies ensure an efficient workflow, and Topaz Glow can also be used as either a standalone application or as a plug-in with compatible host software. For creating visually-arresting digital art from your original photographs, this application can serve to distinguish your imagery beyond pure photography.
This collection includes effects that darken the background and make subjects in focus appear more radiant with vivid colors and highlights. With these settings, you can quickly convert your photographs into light-infused imagery with neon-like effects. Additionally, you can control the screen blending mode to blend the glowing edges into your original photograph.
Mimicking the appearance of a sketch, these effects give your photographs a dark and glowing fibrous look, or even an energized vibration effect. Bold edges and softer details further characterize these effects, making them well-suited to imagery with strong definition between subjects' edges and the background.
Liquid Designs Collection
Flowing lines, smooth color transitions, and an illustrative quality define this collection of effects. Swirling line designs and curly edges can be added to subjects to give a unique illustration-like texture that it well-suited to detailed elements, such as trees.
Fur and Feathers Collection
This collection is ideally used to bring greater definition to small details, such as fur and feathers, and imparts high contrast, smooth-edged flowing lines for more distinguished edges. Many of these effects can also be used to bring an illustrative quality to photographs containing hair or furry animals.
This is a wide-ranging collection that includes softer, more whimsical looks as well as bright and dynamic looks to transform your imagery. When these effects are applied at full strength, they can produce dreamy, surreal results and when blended into the original image, more contemporary and hyper-realistic results are possible.
Using diffused and radiant lighting effects, this collection includes effects to produce a quiet and ethereal atmosphere. These soft and muted glowing effects are well-suited to nature and wildlife photographs.
Other Glow Features
Beyond the range of over 70 effects available, you can use a wide range of adjustments to further refine the look of the Glow effects to best suit your own imagery. Glow type, brightness, color, spread, and other controls are available, as well as blending options for matching the effects to the photographs' content. Additionally, customized effects can be saved as presets for use on subsequent photos.
Enhanced image processing algorithms and GPU acceleration technologies maintain quick working speeds for a more efficient overall workflow.
Standalone or Plug-In
Topaz Glow can be used as standalone application or as a plug-in with compatible host applications, including Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Photoshop Lightroom, Corel PaintShop Pro, and Serif PhotoPlus.
