The Point Source Audio CM-i3-4F Intercom Headset with XLR-4F Connector for Clear-Com Systems is a modular intercom headset designed for concert venues, front of house operations, multimedia production, and other professional trades that rely on convenient two-way communication systems. The headset allows for three different listening modes. Instead of having to remove the entire headset to check sounds in the environment, the user can simply remove one or both of the earphones.

For modularity, they feature the company's EM-3 in-earphones which can be switched with earphones of the user's choice. The flexibility also extends the serviceability and lifetime of the product. The headset has a boom moving coil dynamic element with a cardioid pattern and a frequency response of 300 to 10,000 Hz. The earphones feature a single driver ported design and come with three sizes of eartips, a windscreen with an o-ring, and a custom storage case.

CM-i3-4F Intercom Headset with XLR-4F Connector for Clear-Com Systems is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game Changer I use it for calling spot lights in a live concert setting. Aside from not having to use the house head set. This headset is clear, comfortable and durable. Only downside being that is kind of expensive, but in this case you totally get what you've paid for. But gooD luck finding an rts adapter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good idea, but don't waste your money I'm a traveling corporate A1 who wanted an alternative to over-ear comm headsets. I still like the idea of a product like this but I can't recommend this product. The biggest shortcoming is the gooseneck the mic is on. First off, it's too rigid and will not bend to stay where I put it. Obviously I want to bend it from where it mounts to curve in front of my mouth, but it only wants to bend into more of a slumping l rather than the necessary J shape. On top of that, the gooseneck is too heavy. It constantly slips through the headband and I have to keep readjusting where the headband grabs it. The area where the gooseneck attaches to the cable was separating within about 60hrs of use, and I have had to e-tape it together ever since. On the plus side, I noticed that the gooseneck fit much more securely into the headband once I stacked a bunch of e-tape on it, and I only had to readjust every few minutes to fix the boom that wants to straighten itself, not readjust the entire gooseneck in the headband itself. The attached cable is too short to comfortably mount your pack to the table next to the console. It seems they only ever imagined someone under 6'5 using this headset with a pack mounted on their belt. The IEMs it comes with are OK, as far as I know the mic is fine for other people to listen to. If perfectly designed, maybe this would be worth 3x the price of a more generic comm headset. However, that is far from the case. Speaking of the case, you could probably fit 3 of these headsets with extra cables in the case they send for one. It's almost the size of a hard shell case for non-folding, professional headphones. Works great for marketing as its bright orange with their logo on it, not so much for actual travel and use.
