Do you have to be online to use the cloud based Photoshop program or does it install on your computer like former versions?
You have to be online to install the programs and be online every month or so to verify your eligibility. The programs install on your hard drive the same way they always have. I was just up in Alaska for a couple of weeks with no internet access and used both Lightroom and Photoshop without a problem.

Adobe dosen't list an ecpiration date, as far as we can tell there should be no reason why this would expire. Please note: You can always get this and add it on to your current subscription. My iMac has OS 10.6.8 and includes the Creative Suite version 5 (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.). Would updating to the current O.S., in order to install and use the newest Photoshop version, affect continuing use of the older Creative Suite? Would it be backwards compatible?
