The 6" Round Unmounted Full Field +3 Diopter from Schneider shortens the close-focusing distance of normal fixed focal length or zoom lenses, allowing the camera to focus closer to the subject and create a larger, detailed image.
These high-quality close-up lenses require no exposure compensation. They feature Schneider’s hard, anti-reflective coating on both front and rear surfaces. This reduces light loss and flare while helping to ensure proper color, contrast, and overall image quality. Calculation of strength depends on focal length, focus setting, object distance and size. However, magnification increases as the diopter number increases, and multiple diopters can be combined to achieve greater magnification.
Enables a lens to focus closer than it could otherwise, creating a larger image with sharper details.
Anti-reflective coating on both surfaces reduces light loss and flare while ensuring proper color, contrast, and overall image sharpness.
The magnification factor of the diopters increases as their designation number increases. A +1 diopter will allow you to focus your lens somewhat closer than it already does; a +2 diopter will allow you to focus closer than the +1, etc. An exact calculation of magnification strength depends on focal length, focus setting, object distance and size.
These lenses can be used individually or in combination to achieve closer focus: a +1 combined with a +2 will equal a +3, a +2 combined with a +4 will equal a +6, etc.
